Great novel-like retelling of the French Revolution

I was required to purchase this book as reading for a 100-level college class on the French Revolution.

Tackett's writing contains a lot of tightly-packed information, but reads very quickly. His style is more reminiscent of a fiction author, and as a result, makes the text flow incredibly well.
