1998 release found Rod back on track

For quite some time (a large part of the 1980's an well into the 90's) Rod Stewart kinda got off track (in my opinion) and away from what made him such a huge success in rock music. Starting out in the band The Faces, his hard rockin' gravelly voiced style was matched by swagger and hit after hit. Then the 1980's happened and music changed and so did Rod's music (I guess to adapt) but the return to his rock n rollin' roots took quite a while. With this release Rod went back to what made him such a big success in the beginning...this material really gets back to the earlier feel of his career and several of these songs (the first 3 in my opinion) can be stood up next to any of his past successes like "Maggie May" or "Hot Legs" or "Tonight's The Night" and come out looking and sounding just as good musically.Lire l'avis complet...

Love the sound -songs I never heard I've been a Rod Stewart fan forever. I had never seen this cover. I have many others so I had to add this to my driving collection.
