One of the best Reggae CD's I've purchased in years!

This is an awesome CD. EVERY song is great. His songs have a message of truth and positivity. He is truly his father's son. I enjoy the "dance hall" aspects of his music and the collaborations with Nas, Bobby Brown, his brother Stephen and especially the song "Move" and hearing Bob Marley's voice from the song Exodus are awesome. This album definitely proves that Damian “ Jr. Gong” Marley is the feistiest of the Marley clan. Welcome to Jamrock is a dynamite blend of conscious provoking songs like Confrontation, Move, Pimpa’s Paradise and For the Babies. The album takes a turn with the upbeat track All Night, where Marley sings about how long the young lady wants him to make love to her. For anyone who has only heard the songs Welcome to Jamrock and Beautiful on the radio, as tight’ as those songs are, there are at least 5 other songs on this Cd that top them. Really good CD

This CD has a really good mix of hip-hop beats, rap, and more traditional raggae. The subject matter is mostly political and gives a good insight into the world of the "regular Joe" in Jamaica. I also have his first CD, which is not nearly as good. This is a much more polished CD, and it seems like more thought went into the writing.
