The album that made it feel okay to be a geek.

This year in high-school my girlfriend recommended me this band called "Weezer" at first I was a little a skeptical as the name was goofy but I love her so I figured I'd give it a shot. Immediately from the first track I could tell I was going to love this album all the way through "My Name Is Jonas" has this triumphant feeling too it whether it's the finger picked intro or the killer main power chords. The other stand outs to me are "Say It Ain't So" which deals with the subject matter of Rivers' struggle with his fathers drinking issues that features great thought provoking lyrics and a killer guitar solo. My other favorites are "Only in Dreams" and "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here" the rest of the album is great and flawless but these tracks strike me harder than the others. Overall I have so much love for this album for introducing me to Alternative Rock, to consider this album came out in 94' is mind boggling as it's timeless and catchy. Overall a solid 10/10 for it's great catchy song writing, deep thought provoking moments and funny quirky lyrics. Lire l'avis complet...

So happy to get this CD today! My other Blue CD wore out. It arrived exactly as described. Not one problem. We played it in the car on the way to the store. 😊

FANTABULOUS STILL LISTENING TO IT AND LEARNING THE MUSIC

FANTASTIC FROM BEGINNING TO END, THE WAY CDS SHOULD BE. MY RULE FOR BUYING A CD IS 4 GOOD SONGS OTHERWISE I DONT WANT TO REWARD THE BAND BY BUYING A CD ESPECIALLY IF THE REST OF THE TUNES ARE FILLER.
I LIKE HOW WEEZER PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE BANDS THEY LIKE NOT SO MUCH BY COPYING BUT WITHIN LYRICS AS A NICE TOUCH AS WE ALL CAN RELATE BY INSERTING OUR FAVORITE BANDS NAME IN A SONG LIKE IN MY GARAGE. NOT TO COMPARE THEM TO 80'S ROCK BUT THEY HAVE THEIR OWN VOICE HERE BLENDING COUNTER POINTS WITH ACOUSTIC GUITAR AGAINST DISTORTION. THIS IS NOT HEAVY LADEN WITH GUITAR SOLOS. THE FOCUS IS ON SONGWRITING AND GETTING A MESSAGE ACROSS WITH FEWER NOTES OR TWO NOTE CHORDS. JONAS AND THE WORLD HAS LEFT ME ARE HARDER IN CONTRAST TO THE POP SONGS LIKE THE SWEATER SONG, BUDDY HOLLY AND THE BREAK UP TUNE SAY IT AINT SO WE KNOW AND LIKE WEEZER FOR. DID THEY SAVE UP ALL OF THEIR GREAT SONG WRITING FOR THIS CD? CHECK IT OUT THE LISTENER BEWARE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Classic 90's rock pop

When this album came out I heard some posers on the subway talking about how a band with the name would never last... they were wrong. These guys write good songs and play them well.

You Don't Have To Be A "Weezer Fan"

The Blue Album is record you can play all the way through over and over again. It came way before it's time and remains one of the greatest albums ever produced. Beyond Happy

The cd was basically brand new, case was still shiny and art was in great shape. Cd has minimal use.

Amazing

Perhaps the best power pop album ever. Carrying the legacy of the Pixies, Big Star, Teenage Fanclub further into the ages. Regardless of who it might've influenced or not, and of the path Weezer would later take, it's still one of the best albums of the 90s, and, with Pinkerton, the best Weezer album. My Name Is Jonas, Buddy Holly, Say It Ain't So, Only In Dreams... heck, all of them are timeless.Lire l'avis complet...
