Could Be Better

While a good documentary, it
was too short. Feels like they
had a time limit and rushed at
the end.

It concentrated a lot on 1996
& 1997, highly skipping over
1998. Didn't get too into the
split of the nwo.

The 1st disc has moments as
special features which are ok.
Would have been cool had they
shown the 1st WWF reveal of
the nwo coming, as well as
the 1st appearance of the nwo
at No Way Out.

Discs 2 & have matches as the
features, which begins with the
infamous Bach At The Beach
betrayal by Hogan.

I feel like these matches are
random, and they put no thought
into them. They should all be
highlighting both the victories
and the deviousness of the nwo.

But there's more than 1 match
where they lose.

-Outsiders vs Steiner Brothers,
when they should have put the match
Scott Steiner joined the nwo.

-Hogan and Dennis Rodman losing
to Luger and The Giant

-Sting beating Hogan for the
world title.

-Sting beating Giant for control
of the tag team championship.

-Diamond Dallas Page and Jay
Leno beating Hogan and Bishof
at Road Wild.

-DDP winning Fall Brawl War Games
to become the challenger against
Goldberg. And while the nwo had
2 teams, and 6 of the 9 wrestlers,
there were better War Games to
show the influence and power of
the nwo.

Then there's what is supposed to
be Syxx vs Bounty Hunter, but it's
a lame promo.

But of course, we can't expect
McMahon to respect the product
of another company.

Lacks depth, wait until it comes down in price

Leave it to WWE to drop the ball on such a promising dvd. The interviews with the superstars are decent however a lot are recycled (scott hall, Hogan, Bischoff). Everybody knows the general story of the NWO and sadly this dvd doesnt really go beyond that IMO. They dont speak much on the storylines that occurred while the NWO was around, they kind of just go into the fact that the nwo was there and took over. They go into mentioning the Rodman storyline but I feel they had much better storylines to use. They talk about how guys just wanted to join nwo but never really show how they end up in the NWO like Bagwell, Steiner, they just blow by it. Even the fake sting angle they dont really mention, as a kid when I heard sting joined I was shocked until the ppv when you found out it was a fake sting. I feel they just missed a lot of storylines or fueds (like ddp vs macho, they had some steam). I would recommend buy this dvd around the $12 price range, you are not missing anything that you cant wait for. The matches are fun to look back at, can say much for the documentary.Lire l'avis complet...
