1541 Alps is good, avoid Mitsumi

The 1541 and 1541-II with the D500 drive, the ones with the swivel latches, are to be avoided. The heads die and the aren't any replacement heads so it is a door stop. Positively surprised and lucky with this floppy disk drive purchase

I was positively surprised with the quality and cosmetic condition of this product - it was delivered to me in mint condition! Although untested, it turns out it worked just fine. It lacked the serial wire connecting the device to the Commodore 64, the test demo floppy disk, transit card to secure the drive head upon transit and users manual. The device itself is awesome for its nostalgic aura. Not practical unless you want to play with old Commodore 64 disks.

The device was in excellent condition and functions. I was able to load a game and play it.

Hard to find good working Commodore disk drive works perfectly

Very nice for its time

Considering how old these are I would say they are off high quality regardless of the fact they do have some commonly-occurring failures.

In good condition and works perfectly. I've ran a few dozen disks through it with no issues. Glad it came with the cables and user manual as well. Box was in okay condition, slightly water-damaged, but that was visible in the listing and I found it acceptable.Lire l'avis complet...
