Natural Nutrition???
This book is good for those that want to spend much time avoiding the obvious poisons and hormones in the human raw food world. However it does have some very sound advise nutritionally. I prefer to ignor the notion that "raw is safe" take the nutrition ideas from this book as sound and then cook the food and add the very best in supplements. Maybe not all Pork has worms!!! and all beef has e.coli but do you want to take that risk to find out? Good Luck. Unsure about raw feeding your dog?? Buy this book!
Prior to raw feeding, our dog Molly, itched, scratched, chewed patches of fur off her body. Not to mention her body odor was horrible. Weekly bathing did not help at all. Since we started a raw meat diet she no longer itches and her coat looks wonderful. Her body odor went away after about a week. Her itching subsided in about two weeks. We are now able to brush her for the first time in five years! We went through changing dog food brands and trying different shampoos which none of these helped but only masked the problem of dog food allergies. Please buy this book as Kymythy is the real deal and gives great information for raw feeding your dog or cat. I bought the book because it was recommended by someone online. And I have also been worried about the recent pet food recalls.
I thought the book was very helpful in getting ideas for feeding my dogs.
What I didn't like --- found out later on the yahoo chat group 'rawfeeding' that this author has since changed the diet that she wrote about. No more veggies, no more supplement. ( I found this out AFTER I order a bunch of this stuff online. )Lire l'avis complet...

Helpful book for pet owners concerned about nutrition
I bought this book because I'm considering major changes in my dog's diets, and it had been recommended by several sources as I began my research. It is a very good basic book to help you understand various important elements of proper nutrition for dogs and cats, and won't take you a long time to read. Easy book to read! Great book if you want to give your dog the best nutrition. If your dog has any alleries or ear problems, I would try this diet. My dog loves it!
