Works fine for phones BUT NOT FOR MACBOOK PRO
This adapter seems to "block" the charging functionality when used with a Macbook (Pro). I had expected a straight through adapter that allows connecting two regular USB Type C cords in series between the power adapter and the laptop but it does not work at all. Just what I needed
I bought a USB-C external CD/DVD drive for my Macbook Pro and It came with a short, non-detachable cable. This adapter allowed me to connect a longer cable. Works great.
