The cord gets tangled, not good.

You can be very careful with these and tske care of them, and the cord will still "wind" up on itself. X12s seem to do that, even if you use a bread tie and you are very safe not to let it happen. Go for wireless. The sound is perfect, although the cord getting all wound up on itself is enough for me to call it quits on the x12s. Excellent low/mid priced headset!

My desk mic broke due to anger, force, and a wall. It led me to stop trusting myself around my Sennheisers as well; I'm leaving those for music alone. So I needed something fairly inexpensive, yet I do a fair amount of gaming and mic comm so still of decent quality. Most importantly, it needed to get here fast, and be durable. It is all of those things and more. I am really impressed with the quality for the price point. The bass boost is awesome, and the mic monitoring is really useful. Since the headset does a pretty good job of cancelling outside noise, I could see myself accidentally yelling a lot. Now I only yell on purpose and people can still hear me loud and clear. Comfortable and lightweight

This headset replaced my Razer Carcharias headset. It is lightweight, comfortable and produces quality sound. The only con is the inline control is placed in a bad spot. The inline control sometimes catches the edge of my desk and I fear this may damage the wiring going to the headset. Very good product Comfortable,sound cancalation,no background noise.

Why did I buy this Product?
I bought these originally for my computer because i wanted sound calculation headphones without spending a lot of money, the fact it worked for my xbox too was a big plus for me.

What I Like/Dislike about the product?
It works for my labtop and xbox 360 and even my T.V.(if it has usb connection and aux port). It doesn't pick up any background noise
The one thing I don't like as much is the 15 feet cord, because it just keeps getting tangled.

How this product compares to others?

Great product. Vast improvement over TV speakers. Good value.

Works great. There is a slight buzz if you use a charge and play controller while it is plugged up. If the mic link chat cable is unplugged it goes away. Some reviews I found say this is due to a ground loop and plugging the usb power into a source other than the xbox will solve the problem but I still hear the buzz. If the controller is not plugged up and "charging" there is no buzz but I play games like COD and don't want the wireless lag. The buzz is barely detectable while playing due to the game and voice chat sounds so it hasn't been a big deal. Overall, I would consider this an excellent entry level stereo headset. I like that it has separate volume controls for game and voice and I can now play silently without disturbing anyone else in the room. I also can detect enemy direction a whole lot easier than just using my TV's built in speakers for sound. I recommend this product.Lire l'avis complet...

A good investment.

My brother had this specific model and I'd often borrow it, and fell in love with it. I had to have it as I needed a mic, and for just over 10 bucks I get one that is almost brand new. Cheap but high quality, the only thing I can think about that could count against it is the cable is very long, but there's a Velcro strap that remedies this issue if you're using PC.Lire l'avis complet...

Broken already

We bought this particular headset because we'd had one for several years that we loved, and it just wore out. Not even 2 weeks after we received it, one of the ear pieces just broke off the headset. Can't afford another one for awhile, so we duct taped it. Now it fits oddly, and I'm so disappointed.

The sound is great--the ear pieces are/were comfortable...we liked it lots for the two weeks we had it before it broke. 8(

Turtle Beach X12 Headphones

Easy to set up and to use. Excellent sound. The headset itself could be a little more comfortable on top of your head. Maybe more padding there. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Quality for buck

For this price, you won't find a better headset. Very good sound quality, long lasting, and very comfortable for long periods of time.

Can be used on other sources than just xbox console.

X12 - great headset

I own one already, have it for about 6-7 years now.
never broke down, but went ahead and got the px22 to complement it - huge mistake!
the px22 bottoms out very fast and distorts fast, you need to be very specific with the volume gain.
never have that issue with the x12, so TB probably replaced the drivers.
so i got these ones, and made sure it's the same model and packaging as my old one.
