Cleaning up signals
Tripp Lite's Isobars actually cleaned up my audio and video signals. I'm running an old HD CRT with a PS2, PS3, and PS4 and have always had some light noise in the image, but this surge protector has eliminated it. Doesn't eliminate switching power supply noise
I bought this to see how effective it would be in eliminating switching power supply noise at the source. I have an LED lamp which uses a switching power supply to convert line voltage at 120 VAC into 12 VDC to power the LEDs. Switching power supplies are notorious for putting RF noise back into the 120 VAC line unless well filtered. My test was a shortwave radio to listen and determine the difference in background noise I could detect by turning the LED lamp on and off repeatedly. Both the lamp and radio were plugged into this suppressor. The surge suppressor reduced the listening noise level some but not much, no matter which of its outlets were used. The suppressor probably works well to capture surges but I haven't had the experience yet.Lire l'avis complet...
