Wonderful and eye-opening

I never would have thought that a movie with such a deep theological background could be that fascinating.
Dr. Carlisle lives in 1890 and is a professor at a Bible Seminary. He wants to publish a book and would like to have the endorsement of this Seminary. The thing is that the vote has to be unanimous and it isn't. Dr. Norris Anderson declares that there is a flaw in the book because it says that the teachings of Christ can be taught apart from His name. The other members of the board do not agree on that one and say (just like Russell Carlisle) that there are people who might be offended by the Church already and that these morals would be good for them as well. Dr. Anderson points out that this teaching leads to a set of morals that is subject to opinion.
To prove his point and with the help of his father's invention Dr. Anderson sends Dr. Carlisle into the year 2000 to see for himself the effects of the teaching onto society.
It is a great film and I love it. It shows clearly how far we have already gone astray from the biblical teaching. The fact that we see the world from the eyes of someone who lived in the late 19th century makes us aware of the sin that we seem to have gotten used to.

The Future is Now

This movie is GREAT!

I LOVE it!

It begins in the past when values of society were at a crossroads in the outcome of our future culture.

One Seminary Theologian has just written a book teaching morals without the authority of the one who gives us these very same morals.

Unable to see what this may lead to in the future of society, he finds a friend, and mentor who's father had invented a machine to allow you to travel into the future.

He travels into the future, our present, and sees what a moral society without the authority behind the morality can lead to.

Ashamed and daunted he returns to change his thesis.

A very enlightening look into where we are as a people, and where our society is headed if changes are not made.

I highly recommend this movie to everyone!

Time Changer

This is an excellent movie that explains why the morality of today has dropped to such abominable lows. The setting is the late 1890's and a bible professor has written a book about the changing times. One of his peers has an objection to one of his precepts and the others all endorse his book without qualms. The objecting professor wants to speak with the writer (Russell) about his objection. Russell is only upset because he wants his book published and cannot get the endorsement of the bible seminary without a 100% endorsement. Here comes the time travel. The objecting professor sends Russell 100 years into the future to show how we cannot separate the teaching of Jesus from Jesus authority. For without the authority behind what is wrong and right, people will decide for themselves what is wrong and right. As Russell finds out to his utter shock! He sees the future culture of America and despite the fascination with modern technology he experiences, he is astounded at the divorce rate, the breaking up of families, the lies and sexuality in the media and the ever downward spiral of the morality of society. He returns from this trip with a firm conviction that the objecting professor is completely right in what happens when society makes it's own rules. The acting was wonderful. I highly recommend this film. God's ten commandments are for our good.Lire l'avis complet...

Top notch viewing

I've owned this movie for several years now and have enjoyed it every time I watch it. I bought this for a friend. If you are a Christian this is a must see. The cast was perfect in their roles. Gavin McLeod was excellent as a 19th century seminary professor as was Hal Lindsey. This had humor and drama and also hit home square on the mark.. It brought home it's point in a very direct way. I highly recommend this movie... It will renew your faith.Lire l'avis complet...

Good for Church Goers

Not a huge production, but better than other low budget Christian films. The acting was so so. It has a good message that Christianity has lost is message and had watered down the message of Christ and assisted in America.s loss of morals and true Christian beliefs. I am firm believer in the films primes. It is be a good movie that saved Christians would like. Time is short look at the signs around you.....of course John 3:16.Lire l'avis complet...

Time Changer-- Profound & Entertaining for whole family

I wish I could afford to buy a copy for every person I know! I haven't been so excited about a film in quite awhile. Our teen and pre-teen children enjoyed the time-travel aspects of this film. All of us enjoyed the humor of watching the shock and surprise of someone from the late nineteenth century experiencing life in modern times (probably late 1990's). This film doesn't have the high dollar visual impacts that many films today offer, but its subtle messages waaayy over-compensated. My husband and I found ourselves discussing it for days after. The film is great simply for entertainment, but has far more value for people seeking truth and wanting to take a look at what is called "progress" to determine if we really have progressed or regressed. Post modernity was exposed. I highly recommend it for entertainment, and especially for contemplation and discussion! It could change your life for the better!Lire l'avis complet...

Travel in to the Future after we abandon Jesus Christ!!

The movie is really well done with great acting, and a great plot. We can see what happens when we leave what the Bible teaches, and follow man's teaching apart from the teachings of Jesus Christ, using a Time Machine to show how evil mankind has become in just over a 100 years after teaching morals alone. The movie also shows the importance of repenting of our sins, and asking Jesus Christ to save us from Hell, and to not be just going to Church and acting like a born-again Christian, or acting like we are Saved, but to get serious with the Bible and make sure we are not just trusting in our own Works for Salvation... It was a great movie from start to finish. I use this movie to reach Lost Souls for Jesus Christ in our Gospel Ministry.Lire l'avis complet...

Time Changer DVD

Time Changer is a great film that the entire family can enjoy. I saw this film a few months after it's initial release and loved it. I bought it on DVD because it's fun to watch again and again.
It has a message that goes beyond the Christian theme. It shows how our ideas have an effect on our future.
The acting is a little stiff at times, but that actually adds to the charm of the film. For a fairly low budget film, it has a very good quality.
Time Changer contains nothing offensive to any age viewer, however, younger children may not really understand some of the themes and situations.
I highly recommend Time Changer for anyone looking for fun family-friendly entertainment.

It's never too late

Wish the world would watch and comprehend this movies message. It deals with the stark reality of removing the Lord from our lives. A stunning representation of how our daily exposure to liberal ideals, the media and today's lifestyles have made it common place to set our Lord and his teachings on the back burner. Look at the mess our world is in, this movie's message helps to understand why and how it happened. Pray for our world!Lire l'avis complet...

Time Changer DVD

Every Christian NEEDS to see this movie. It is not entertainment...it is a journey that every sincere Christian should take...it's awesome, eye-opening and inspiring. It is NOT a Hollywood Production....it's a "B" rated movie...but the content and meaning of the message that this movie tells is truly edifying and it uplifts the name of our God, Jesus Christ. It reminds us that we as a church should be ready to meet the Lord whenever He returns and that we must not be conformed to the world, but to be holy and acceptable to a very holy & loving God.........It's SO watching, it will change your life and deepen your relationship with Jesus!!!! It's AWESOME!Lire l'avis complet...
