The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle is absolutely wonderful. I am ready for this book now and I am learning something new on each page. What a find. This will be one of my all-time favorite books.

The missing link

I was having difficulty understanding the Buddhist concept of 'mindfulness' when I chanced across the Power of Now. This book bridged that gap for me. I bought the book (in hardback, which I rarely do), the audio book and both sets of meditation cards. If there had been tee-shirts and bumper stickers, I'd have bought them too.

One of the best things about this book is that Tolle tells you to stop reading for a bit every time you come to an 'S' shaped graphic. The concepts are not something you are going to 'get' the way you would reading other sorts of informational texts, like a diet book or business text; it's not something you can pick up, blitz through and attempt to implement into your life in a couple of days. It has to percolate a bit, seep in, and become part of you, slowly by slowly.

At the same time, once you start to discover the power of now, life seems a lot more simple, and you wonder why you didn't 'get it' before.

The concepts also come in two card deck editions. You can determine an area to focus on, by shuffling the cards and picking one at random, or select one based on what you think you need to focus on. They come in a box that sets up to form an easel, which you can keep on your desk at work, or display on your nightstand or other prominent place in your home as a reminder.Lire l'avis complet...

Simple way to find inner peace.

Eckhart Tolle explains everything so well. It makes alot of sense. I'm able to follow because it's what I always wanted to do and reading his book I've learned how to find peace and joy.

Eckhardt Tolle understands what moves and motivates us as mere humans. He shows us how we can lead fuller lives by being conscious of everything we do, and recognizing why we act on our thoughts as we do. He explains how deep-seated pain, unaddressed and left to fester inside of us can perpetuate a cycle of inner and relational conflict that leads to constant misery. An Ego Is A Terrible Thing To Mind

This is the most informative book I have ever read. Full of truth. It's a roadmap for how to not get caught up in the stuff that sends us to the shrinks, the counselors, the pastors and to anyone else to help you get your head on straight. If you want to be able to understand others we first have to understand ourselves. It's right on target for life in the shrinking world. Amazing life changing book

This book has changed my life. It really makes you think about what you say and do and why.
I have been able to deal with stress better after reading this book. It has helped me find inner peace I have NEVER had. I am dealing with matters in a more mature way and trying to not let everything get to me.
The best place to read this is a quiet place where you can give the book full attention. I prefer to sit in the sun where I am the most relaxed.
Don't judge the book after the first couple chapters. You will notice a huge change in yourself after reading half the book.

One of the best books I have read. Will help you focus on the now versus the past or future.have read twice in the past and on my third time. Highly recommended
