My Favorite Movie

Saw this movie in the theater when it was first released, and have loved it ever since. Nice to have it on BluRay finally.

True to the MASTERPIECE

I am a HUGE Stephen King fan, so when this movie came out I knew I just HAD to see it on the big screen. I knew many of my fellow movie-goers were not as enthusiastic about the KING as I was, but I think that opinion changed radically for many of them after watching this WONDERFUL MOVIE. Aside from the incredible cast, beautiful cinematography and pitch-perfect production and direction, the thing that I focused on most when I discussed SHAWSHANK with my friends and anyone else who would listen was how true it was to the masterpiece written by the KING.
Since SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION came out on DVD I have seen it many times, and each time I see something new. Now on blu-ray, I am no longer just a bystander, and with the DIGIBOOK BLU-RAY I can re-live the experience long after the movie is done playing. Amazing! One of the Best Movies Ever...

This is in my Top 5 movies of all time, and I wish they'd release Forrest Gump, Braveheart, and Gladiator and I'd be pretty well set. The booklet that comes with this DVD is very interesting and no matter how many times you see this movie, it's always great and leaves you feeling more human. best movie of all time

This movie is one of the best classics ever and should appeal to just about any type of audience. I had to see it for the first time for a senior lit class and it has been one of my favorite movies ever since. Bought this blu-ray as a birthday gift, good price, fast shipping, good product, just wish that the blu-ray was sealed in plastic when I received it. Other than that great buy.

Good movie if you like the genre

Great Picture and sound. With the Blu-Ray DVD transfer its great watching it in HD. I the plot and acting are solid, but I really think having seen the regular dvd vs. the Blu-Ray there is no comparison. If you like the story you will love the Blu Ray version

This is a classic. One of the best movies of all time (probably the best drama ever). A great movie with excellent performances by an outstanding cast. A+++++
