Don't get this film confused with the 2005 version of the film. The original Punisher film is just as dark and disturbing as the newer version, and is just as enjoyable.

Dolph Lundgren is a really good fit as The Punisher and if you're a fan of the Punisher comic book series or of the 2005 version of the film you'll like this movie.

Rent or Buy?: Put your brain on hold and enjoy the mindless action. Unless you're a huge action/Lundgren fan a rental will suit you just fine.

It's a KEEPER!!!

People have said that this was a BAD Movie at the time this came out.In my opinion other then The Punisher doesn't wear the Iconic SKULL FACE Costume,like in the Comics..doesn't Matter.It is Still a Feel good Action Thriller Film,that looks and feels just like the Comic Series in itself.Lire l'avis complet...

Wow!!!

The one word that best sums up this movie is "Wow!" I was very surprised when I watched this for the first time. I had already seen the semi-great Punisher from 2004, and the awful Punisher: War Zone. I had never heard of this film, however, until just a short while ago. I thought for sure it would be awful. Then I was surprised completely. It ended up being a fantastic movie. There were some action scenes that were very cheesy, but there were ALOT more action scenes that were fantastic. I enjoyed the acting, all except for some of Dolph's acting. But even he was up and down. His acting was great in a lot of the movie and only bad in a few parts. I think the tone of this film is the most suiting to the punisher. All in all, I think this is the best Punisher film, and I was very satisfied. It should have received much more recognition than it did. If you are considering buying this, stop considering and just buy this fantastic movie!Lire l'avis complet...

The guilty must be punished

This is a highly underrated film. My wife, who does not like these styles of films, much less from the era really enjoyed the film and was curious if it had a sequel. Ahead of its time. Perfect film for Dolph back in the day. Get “Showdown in Little Tokyo” as well.Lire l'avis complet...
