The Princess and the Pea for those with a sense of humo
After watching Lauren Child's Charlie and Lola series on Disney I decided to look for her books. This one is a hoot! Its a funny ,quirky and well thought out story about what makes a princess, a princess and the pitfalls of what it means to be a handsome, but not too handsome prince. Love the artwork, as always. My daughter is 6 and this book is one of her current favorites. Its not a dumbed down sugar coated story. Its as entertaining for the parents as well as for the kiddies. Great princess story to encourage everyday princesses- love this book!
My daughter borrowed this book from the school library & loved it so much that we needed our own copy. It is a great version of the classic tale that focuses on the importance of being yourself and a good person rather than the typical "princess" qualities.
