The millionaire next door

Likes-It tells how ordinary people everyday take simple steps, to maximize thier money and investments without having to scrimp. It has millionaire perspectives on things like what cars they drive to the decisions they make financially. Most you wouldnt think of to do like they have, but once explained it makes sense. The author was totally blown away by who actually are the wealthholders of America, I was too. I bought it after being recommended..The book sells well on Ebay I bid on like 7 before I got one, so the money can be recovered if you decide to try the book.Lire l'avis complet...

This book gives great practical ways to save and structure a financial plan that will help you manage the way you look at purchases throughout your life. It is also helpful for parents to share with children, college-bound, and young-marrieds. It helps you to be NOT on accumulating things but knowing the difference between want and need. Some key points include wisdom in purchasing and figuring out your reasons for it. Is it to compete or elevate your status or is it for the comfort of you and your family? Mine this book with a highlighter, and you will find treasures that have value beyond just dollars!Lire l'avis complet...

Basically frugal people with some wealth...

I've read this book so many times. The people who sold the book probably made some very good chunk of money.

Basically has an outline if you can follow it. Tells you little insider stuff to live a little easier. What it boils down to in a sense is frugal people not living beyond their means. Meaning they don't go out and buy new cars all the time, don't follow the trend of new clothes in style, things of that nature. They put away a chunk of their money and live budget friendly. Ideally have other members in their family contribute to the household as a whole.

If you can follow the outline, make good substantial money yearly, well you can find yourself too making money. Wants vs needs. But a good book to grasp an idea about what peoples habits are to stashing their cash. If you are good with numbers, well things will come easier to you with this book.

I recommend this book to any teen on up to mid 30s adults. Especially if you can get this book on the cheap.

Good Book

Very interesting book. Why? It details the results of studying the wealthy in America over a period of several years. It explains their (the wealthy's) attitudes about money, which may seem counter-intuitive. That's the real selling point of this book. Caveats: The authors definitively have opinions and they express them. It felt a little preachy sometimes, even when I agreed with them. Other than that, it was a very interesting read.Lire l'avis complet...

Millionaires

A really great book. This book details many statistics and behaviors of the more ordinary millionaires in the United States. Read it and you may change your attitude towards the people flaunting their "wealth" and stop that thinking of keeping up with the Joneses. Bottom line, be frugal, live within your means, stay out of debt, and don't worry about what other people think. The guy next door driving the 5 year old Crown Victoria may be kicking your butt in the net worth/wealth race.Lire l'avis complet...

The Millionaire Next Door

Overall, this is a good and knowledgable book. I was hoping for more of a narrative, however, and this book mostly provides graphs, charts, statistics, and studies. They are interesting however. If I had to do it again, I would have still bought this book. You will realize while reading this that people you THINK are millionaires really just live beyond their means. And the people on the corner that drive an old rusted out car? More likely a millionaire than the Porsche driver down the block,Lire l'avis complet...

Hope for us all

This was the book that began my journey to knowledge where financial freedom is concerned. It was incredibly encouraging, siting many individuals who started out with a small income that gradually worked there way up to financial freedom. All you have to do is save! It seems so simple, yet many people wait until "someday" comes along when they will have more time, money, etc. to learn how to budget & save. This book also changed my view on "rich" people. Just because somebody spends a lot of money does NOT mean they HAVE a lot of money! It gives hope to all of us in the working class who don't have plasma TVs or expensive cars. This is a great starter book. I also recommend THE MILLIONAIRE MIND.Lire l'avis complet...
