Great Show! For fans of shows like Bones and House

This is such a fun, great show. Don't listen to other reviews comparing it to Psych--it's hardly the same, and from what I have seen of Psych, this show is more enjoyable in my opinion.

Anyway, this show IS about crime solving, but like many other shows in this genre, it is often more about the characters. All of the main characters of this show are intriguing and multi-faceted, although, some may come off two-dimensional at first. Just give the writers time to work their magic.

Speaking of the writing, The Mentalist is a very well written show with wit and comedy (most potently concentrated in the main character, Patrick Jane). However, this show certainly has its dark side--people who have watched the first season know what I'm talking about. The second season picks this up pretty heavily, so prepare yourself for some pretty dark and exciting moments as well.

Overall, if you like shows such as Bones or House, you'll probably enjoy the Mentalist (just expect it to be a lot less Freudian and preachy than House). It's just an overall fun, action-packed drama with interesting characters and strange cases. Some fans say that the second season isn't as good as the first, but I think it's almost if not just as good as the first. In either case, it's definitely worth a watch, especially since you can find this season for very cheap online or on sale at stores like Target! Must buy and watch.Lire l'avis complet...

easy to use and add to your collection, then pass it around to your friends

Great Storyline, and you can't seem to find it on line, so it's easier to just buy it. No commercials, watch at your leisure, and Simon Baker is terrific in the role. When you need #3 Season go for it!!! We just ordered it. Simon Baker has matured a great deal from his role in the Guardian, but we enjoy him in that as well.Lire l'avis complet...

CD's and CD box in great condition.

Good value, very entertaining, one mis-cast character entered the show half way thru this second season. I don't think she will last long.

One of the best TV series ever! So entertaining! Great cast and characters. Laugh a little, cry a little. Perfect combination!

A fine series. WAY above the average. And not nearly as expensive as those weary Brit productions.

Continuing a good story line with great mysteries

Clever show about a former TV "Psychic" who continues his work with the fictional California Bureau of Investigate (CBI) solving murders while on the trail of the man who killed his family, Red John.<br>The writing is great with fun story lines and good acting. Knowing that the folks from Psyche make references to the Mentalist makes it even more fun to watch both!

We love Patrick Jane's role in this series. He does a good job even though some think it to be tacky sometimes. He is usually correct.
Good writing to come up with some of the stuff they have on it.
