a solid rpg with some cool twists makes for a fun, yet, unknown game.

this is one of those under-rated, "i've never heard of it" kind of rpgs, but its a good one. if you played "defenders of oasis" on sega gamegear, you'll like this. if you played the first "legend of zelda" on nes, you'll like this too.

think "zelda" crossed with "crystalis" on the nes with an arabian theme.

its part action rpg (think "secret of mana") where you can dispatch enemies in an action setting. some battles are done in the traditional turn-based final fantasy-esque style too which is more true to those tradition rpgs.

the graphics are good since this was a later title. the 90s pumped out some nice looking games. pick between a fighter, a saint, or a magician i believe for your class, talk to the towns folk, and set out on an adventure that transverses not only distant lands and settings but time as well.

you will form a party and do all the traditional rpg type things. the game is easy to get into and its fun all around. any rpg fan will appreciate this title, especially if you like a middle eastern arabian flare. remember, this game is a lot like "zelda" and that's always a good thing. also, don't worry about the battery for saving on the cartridge, the game uses a password system.

A hidden masterpiece. Every NES fan should own a copy of this game.

The Magic of Scheherazde is one of the best games on the NES, and is a real hidden gem. It's one of those rare games that understands that every element of a game needs to be good for it to be a complete package. Gameplay, sound, graphics, story, mechanics, difficulty curve, and a satisfying ending are all things that Scheherazade does well, and the game is absolutely wonderful because of it.

Scheherazade is also pretty accessible, so people unfamiliar with RPGs can easily get into it. It blends Zelda overworld action with turn based battles, and implements it very well. Random battles only have a chance of occurring when you move to the next screen, so you won't be constantly frustrated that battles could pop up every step like in other RPGs. They're also pretty infrequent early on, and only start popping up more often in later chapters where you need the extra exp.

In regards to exp, there's very little level grinding to be done in Scheherazade as well. It's one of those nice RPGs that balances itself out very well by usually having you be at a high enough level for the boss by the time you get to it. Also, the game is split into five chapters, and you can only level up five times per chapter, so you won't ever feel the need to level grind when you don't really need to. As a bit of a helpful hint for you, in chapter four you only need to be at level 19 before you fight the boss, and in chapter 5 you only need to be at level 23 before the boss.

If you've ever wanted a great, obscure game for NES, then buy a copy of The Magic of Scheherazade. You'll love every minute of it.

A classic 8-bit experience, combing both Zelda and Final Fantasy gameplay!

One of the unsung gems for the NES. It combines the open world exploration and top down action of Zelda, as well as the random monster generating dungeons and turn based combat of Final Fantasy. You battle both ways depending on where your exploring. All under the guise of an Arabian Nights theme. You'll travel to different towns, finding multiple npc's who will join your party, gamble in the town casino's, find and upgrade your weapons, explore large maps and dungeons, travel through time to alter the present and future. An all around long and fulfilling 8-bit rpg gaming experience.Lire l'avis complet...
