Excellent Screen Adaptation Of J. R. R. Tolkien's Trilogy Masterpiece

Excellent screen adaptation of the second part of a classic Science Fiction/Fantasy Trilogy, written by J. R. R. Tolkien. While this is my favorite book (or... "set of books"), and one would expect the screen version to be somewhat disappointing, I felt that it left virtually nothing out, and was a most entertaining viewing experience.

Those with small children should be advised that some of the fantasy characters may be quite troubling for younger viewers. At the same time, I am writing this the week of the Boston Marathon bombing, and am wondering if viewing a scary fantasy is any worse than watching the news!Lire l'avis complet...

Quality for a good price

I did have the complete collection and moved to a different location. Movie night was not so good because this movie has been misplaced. The people words dont go with the scene and it skips at the middle n then stops. I love this movie and now I need to get another one

Beautiful scenery; spiritual implicatiions being represented in the storyline. I will rewatch these DVDs.

IIt is essential to see the series in order; each part of the series is excellent and rewarding to see.

Classic movie, the 2nd movie in the movie trilogy Lord Of The Rings. The movie series set a higher standard for the Fantasy genre in movies then previously been seen. Undoubtedly will pave the way for other great Fantasy authors like Tolkien. Such as George R.R. Martin and Robert Jordan.
