Ultra Classic!

The Last in Line is probably one of Dio's most powerful creations. It features young, energetic, smart and creative guitarist Vivian Campbell at it's best. At the time, there was a need for Vivian to impress Dio and his audience. On this album, you will see the result of dedication an many hours of studio preparation and perfectionism. Even though successor Craig Goldy was a very powerful guitar player, he did not put as much re-work to perfect his creations as Vivian did at this time. On this album you will see a blues dominated guitar player coming out of the box and implementing modal creations. The result was very strong melodic lines in which when the solos take place, they take over the music not with volume but with rock solid feeling. If you are a guitar player like me developing your own style, this album should be in your collection. There are no two themes alike when you listen to this album. The melodic lines belong to the song and not a "one lick fits all" bag of tricks. I know Dio is still missing Vivian. Have this album in your collection!Lire l'avis complet...
