A quality film, well acted & full of laughs.
I have read the books, listened to the Radio version & watched the1970s/80s TV series & loved them.
While this film makes a few changes to the plot, it is a very good rendition of the story. Freeman make an excellent Arthur Dent & plays it brilliantly. It could have been written just for him. Zooey Derschanel as Trillion works beautifully as well. Rickmans Marvin is excellent & the Vogans are excellently portraid too. Even the origional Marvin from the BBC TV series appears as an extra!
The effects are great & the writing hangs together very well.
After watching it, I realised the BBC TV series delivery was quite stlited; not flowing quite so well as the radio series did.

Fantastic, energetic and truly hilarious film A+++
My family and I all love this film, it is a true hit for all ages - there is only one 'not too terrible' swear word at the very end. We all laughed outrageously throughout the first watch of Hitchhikers Guide and have laughed even more every time we watch it as there are so many favorite moments. The cast are believable and the action is fast paced and easy to follow, even if you've not read the book or seen the 1980's TV series.
I would most highly recommend Hitchhikers Guide to anyone with a sense of humour!!Lire l'avis complet...
Awesome
The DVD has lots of really, really super good actors in- all of them are well known and awesome. The story itself is kind of weird but is good if you watching it for just entertainment purposes but shouldn't be taken too seriously. It's slightly different to the book and the show but I guess that makes it original.Lire l'avis complet...
I've wanted it for ages!
Bought it for myself and haven't watched it yet!! Rating is based on expectation! I'll let you know later if it matched expectations.
Great value - such a great film
The dvd is fab. It's always been a favourite of mine. Some excellent actors involved. Definately worth a watch
