Great author! I love his books of memory!
I have his first memoir. His memoirs are interesting. His stories of his memory are interesting- especially with he being born back in the day.
He was from Ireland. His brother- Malachy has just passed away a few days ago- terribly sad, but he lived a long life right along with his brother Frank, until he passed away in 2009 from skin UV ray problems. Lire l'avis complet...

"Tis" by Frank McCourt (l999)
I purchased "Tis" by Frank McCourt because it is the sequel to "Angela's Ashes," which won the Pulitzer Prize for non-fiction in 1996. I thoroughly enjoyed that book. However, as of today, I have not received "Tis." I cannot write a review on that which I have not read. However, I will rate the book as "excellent," because Frank McCourt is an outstanding writer.

fine book, thanks
A great book. Having lived in Ireland, I know what he's saying. The bok is good bur having e-bay DEMAND a review before they stop their annoying messagfes is garbage. Allow good authors to sell their books without mega corporations demanding free marketing. You want my true opinion? Pay for it!Lire l'avis complet...

This Book is Like an Old Friend
I bought this book after reading Angela's Ashes and I love it. This story starts when Frank McCourt lands in America. I like this book every bit as much as the first, and have read it many times.

Frank McCourt's books are like people. They make a first impression that changes as you get to know them. I've read all three of his books multiple times and see him and the story differently as time goes on.
I LOVE this book and hope you will too.
I also have this book on audio and love to hear it in his charming Irish brogue.Lire l'avis complet...

Book Review Tis
I bought this book due to I read his first one, Angela's Ashes. Frank McCourt is a great writer and learning how he overcame his poverty and pulled his family up with him. I enjoy that he tells his life story very pointblank. There are really no dislikes in this beacause it is based off of someone's life experiences. I do recommend you read the first one so you know where you are at in this one. Great Book!!!!!Lire l'avis complet...
Tis by Frank McCourt
This seems like it is going to be a great book. I didn't realize it had a miss print in it and some of the pages are all mixed up and out of order. But it makes it a little like a 'choose your own adventure' book having to search for the next page in the story. It has kept me interested enough to keep reading eventhough it poses a challenge.Lire l'avis complet...
Worth the time, but....
Frank McCourt has lived a very interesting life and has an entertaining writing style. This book is well worth the time, but whatever you do, don't read it imediately after reading 'Angela's Ashes'! The sequel is never as good as the first, and this holds true to this book as well.Lire l'avis complet...
