Fergalicious

( I love the blacked eyed peas) so naturally I was intersted in Fergie's first album.I decided to buy this cd after hearing the songs Glamorous and Fergaligious. I bought it hopeing that all the songs on the cd would have that same kind of rythem and they don't. By far Fergalicious and glamourous are the two best songs on this cd and althought I was dissapointed that the cd did not have this type of energy throughout I am still very happy with it. It's a great first album for Fergie but you can defenitly tell it's a first.Lire l'avis complet...

My Daughters Love This Cd!

I have to say that my daughters begged me for this cd. They loved the songs London Bridges and Fergalicious. I had heard these two songs on the radio and decided to go ahead and get the cd.

Stupid me didn't realize there were two versions - clean and parental advisory. If you are buying this cd for your daughters (under the age of 16) I'd say go for the clean version. I have since had to list this cd on ebay and purchased the clean copy for our home.

Still, I have to admit, most of the songs have VERY minimal cussing and the songs themselves are really good! If I was buying this for myself, I could easily keep the parental advisory copy and not have any complaints!

Fun Stuff!

If you're looking for a CD with depth, emotion and heart, then this is NOT the CD for you! However, if you want beats to sing along to, dance to, and just have fun with then you should definitely buy Fergie's The Dutchess. Yes, her songs may seem meaningless to some but the music is fun, get-up-and-go music. There are also some slow songs that really showcase Fergie's voice. "Finally" is a great song that shows that even though she can take her music lightly and have fun with it, she really does have an amazing talent for singing.Lire l'avis complet...

Fergie - The Dutchess

I usually dont really listen to this type of music but about a week ago me,my friend, and her younger sister where at their house when my friend's sister came bursting though the door. She came in screaming,"Yes!Yes!I got Fergie's new CD!"and jammed it into the CD player. So we all started listening to it. I thought it was OKAY,but hardly. What I didn't like most about it was that it seemed ALL the songs where really meaningless. They where really about nothing and had no emotion. But that stuff gets stuck in your head, lol. It's really catchy so... I dont know,I still wasn't impressed.

Thanks for Listening,

Better than most solo efforts

I have not always been a fan of Fergie. In April, this dude got me to go out with him because he recited the lyrics from London Bridge and they were so ridiculously funny that I thought he was funny, but he turned out to be a dud... Anyway, my friend recently got this CD and I listened to it and didn't hate it! "Clumsy" is a perfect description of the way I feel about someone. Many songs show the softer side of Fergie, like "All that I Got" and "Big Girls Don't Cry." A fun reggae song "Mary Jane Shoes" will have you chillin' with your windows down. Now I have my own copy.Lire l'avis complet...

Sultry. Soulful. FERGIE FERG is in da House!!!

I bought this cd because I love the Black Eyed Peas' "Elephunk" & "Monkey Business" cds. I liked Fergie's voice on those cds and when I heard 'London Bridge', 'Fergalicious', and 'Glamorous' I knew I just HAD to add this one to my cd collection. These 3 songs instantly hook you in with their infectious beats and inane hip-hop culture lyrics. If you like listening to mindless, good time music that you can dance to - and THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT - you'll like most of this album.

People seem surprised when they hear that Fergie can actually sing. She has a wonderfully soulful voice which most of us have heard on 'Big Girls Don't Cry.' There are a few other cuts such as 'Finally' with John Legend that allow Fergie to slow it down and show her sultry side. So far I've found that this album has a little bit of something for everybody I hang out with.

**** I bought the PA (Parental Advisory) version of this cd. I wouldn't recommend this version to anyone under 17. The light cursing shouldn't offend most adults; I've heard a lot worse on the Sopranos. *****

If you want to hear insightful, thought-provoking music or songs protesting war or global warming go hang out with the tree-huggers. Fergie is clearly not the artist you're looking for. Talk to Bono or Sting. (No offense to Bono or Sting or their fans).

Better than Black Eyed Peas

This cd is a very good cd for all the hip-hop, pop, and rap lovers out there. This cd has five very good songs that are all hits including Fergalicious, London Bridge, and Glamorous. If anybody is planning on getting the deluxe edition the good songs are Barracuda from the Shrek 3 soundtrack, Party People from Nelly's Brass Knuckles album, and Labels or Love from the Sex and the City Soundtrack. It also includes a remix of Clumsy featuring Soulja Boy Tell Em' and Collipark.Lire l'avis complet...

Bravo - Fergie Comes into her Own & Owns It

Finally Fergie is doing her own thing and doing it excellently. Her vocals are strong & shows diverse style. Fergie does her thing with attitude & style.
She has finally broken away from the Black Eyed Peas, which were holding her back. The Peas thought it was just fine to put her out front for looks and moves but allowing her to take the front seat as lead singer? No go because they knew she would blow them away! And she did. Were are the Peas now? Keep your ear to Fergie because she is on her way up to doing more kick a** hip, fresh music.Lire l'avis complet...
