Dangerous and Wonderful
I saw this back in the 60s. It first aired November 28th, 1965. I think this was the first time on television for Liza Minnelli. There wasn't VHS or DVD in those days so when I saw it was available I just had to have it. I did own and wore out the 33rpm. This actually had an extra surprise for me. It was more than the television special. It has the album on it. Loved the music. The same people later gave us "Funny Girl."
It's a comedy of course and the twisted story is as wild as the full title, "The Dangerous Christmas of Red Riding Hood or Oh Wolf, Poor Wolf." Cyril Ritchard plays Lone T. Wolf, the "T" stands for Timber, and he's as good in this as he is as Captain Hook in the Mary Martin "Peter Pan." Vic Damone is the singing woodsman, Eric Burdon and the Animals play the wolf pack. Brings back fun memories.Lire l'avis complet...
