Marvelous jewels of Christian apologetics from a literary genius!

A LOT to digest here! Lewis has a lot of insight, lots of things to cause you to examine yourself, and to make you evaluate your own relationship with Jesus. At times I found myself reading each sentence on the page twice to make sure I had a firm grip on what the author had to say as well as to try and make the observations infuse, and make personal applications of Lewis' insight.

Lewis is a master of drawing allegories from everyday life to illustrate his points, so much of what he writes make perfect sense. Obscure concepts are suddenly brought to light- you may find many personal "epiphanies" in his writings concerning things you hadn't considered. AMAZING!

This is a bound collection of seven books, each being a jewel of Christian apologetics and literary genius. Whether you buy this bound book of seven or find (and buy...) each title individually, everything is well worth reading- I can't possibly make a higher recommendation!Lire l'avis complet...

I have read a couple of these before, but not all and am thoroughly enjoying the rereads anyway. C. S. Lewis had an incredible mind and a wonderful way of conveying his thoughts, making the deepest philiosophical and religious concepts easy to understand and apply to your life. This book contains the amazing work of C.S. Lewis, commonly known as the author for the Narnia series. His other novels which are contained in this collection hold their weight. They are brilliant in their quirky presentation of common Christian facts and fiction. Each book is as relevant as it was in it's time. While insightful, a great deal of wry humor is at play. C.S. A Great C. S. Lewis collection

I recently read C. S. Lewis "Surprised by Joy" and I found it extremely interesting and was quite impressed by it. Then I decided to buy these signature classics (7 books in one volume) and though I haven't finished reading all of them, I'm already more than satisfied. These books are windows to a deep and extremely well educated mind, as well as a person who really seems to have had a genuine experience of God and of Jesus His Son. I also love these books because Lewis reveals profound spiritual truths in simple words, explains and clarifies many aspects of Christianity, and very often exposes surprising points of view and metaphors I had never thought of before. This is definitively a great collection for believers, non believers, and people who are searching for answers, or who simply wish to understand Christianity better.Lire l'avis complet...

A classic

Not for the faint hearted. Lewis was a deep thinker. Can’t wait to read this … slowly.
