The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle is based on one of 56 short stories about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective character Sherlock Holmes. In this fine tale of intrigue the intuitive Sherlock Holmes stumbles upon a mystery in a most unusual fahion. Watson of course wanders into the mystery while visiting Holmes at Christmas time. Holmes and Watson cannot resist the lure of a good mystery so off they go to solve the case. What they find are not the usual suspects.
