Fascinating true story -- and very, very instructive

At a fairly young age, and already a Christian, Johanna became an apprentice to a woman who healed people: what was then called a psychic surgeon.

Through clever deception, she never questioned if this was okay with Jesus, and she explains why she felt sure it was okay with her Saviour.

But when she started to question -- and test -- the spirits that worked through or with her in these healings, they took off the velvet gloves so to speak. She became under attack by the very spirits which before she had assumed were all good.

Very informative

Johanna is very informative about her experiences, it is good to know what is out there and infiltrating into the churches. People seem to want the miracles and the supernatural to see the same signs as Jesus did. Jesus warned about seeking those things above Him. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added, also Mark 8:12 seeking signs. Satan will be all too happy to work within the church. 1 Corinth 2:2 As Paul said ;

The Beautiful Side of Evil by Johanna Michaelsen

Johanna Michaelsen came from a unique family. Her grandmother could be considered a witch. As a child she experienced many strange events and horrific encounters with entities, who seemingly enjoyed scaring the hell out of her.

Her college years include experiences with peyote and marijuana. In this time period, she becomes her grandmother's granddaughter. She begins to commune with an entity that resides in the college's theater. She has a statue of Mephistopheles in her room with which she holds conversations. Small people make them selves manifest when she journeys into the woods for herbs and flowers.

Eventually she becomes involved with an old woman in Mexico that does psychic surgeries with a rusted knife. She becomes the woman's student and continues to have spiritual experiences. She comes to realize that evil has a beautiful side. This is a MOST ILLUMINATING read in which you will become familiar with demonic personalities and eventually saving Grace. Item is in great condition!

Whether you love her approach or not, Johanna Michaelsen's autobiographical spiritual memoir is now something of an evangelical collector's item, as it is out of print. This particular copy was a reasonable value, and in excellent overall condition! There was some yellowing on the pages, but that's to be expected, as the book was published in 1982! This text is highly recommended if anyone is researching Christianity and the occult; Christian beliefs, etc.Lire l'avis complet...

Could hardly put this book down, once I started reading it. Very eye-opening, as well as heart-revealing. good informative book

This is a great book, I learned about a lot of things. I will probably read more of her books. I heard the writer speak on a talk show and share the dangers of new age occultism.
