The Autobiography of Santa Claus
While Christmas shopping a few years ago, I happened across this book at a local shopping mall and Christmas has not been the same since! This book is historically accurate, which adds to its believability. Santa explains his life and how many of the legends that surround him are made possible.
Santa is careful to consistantly tie the holiday back to it's true meaning--to celebrate Jesus' birth.
It's a wonderful combination of magic and logic to make Christmas as wonderous for adults as it is for children!
An subtle touch that was given to the book is that it's 24 chapters, which lends to starting the reading on December 1 and leading through to Christmas Eve, just in time to go to bed and dream of Santa's visitLire l'avis complet...
Terrific product - the story of Santa is now believable and fasinating!
A terrific tale of the very beginning of Santa Claus and how he, himself, descovered who (and what) he was. His tale brings in several other surprise players in history making the story carry an element of believabilty - isn't that what Santa Claus is all about?
The book is written in 1st person and the reader, John H. Mayer, does a fantastic job of keeping your brain believing that Santa is telling his own story.
History buffs will like this - I'm NOT a history buff and I found it wonderful!
Enjoy!Lire l'avis complet...
The Autobiography of Santa Claus
A charming and clever story of Santa Claus through history. We read it together as a family 3 years ago in December and looked forward to every chapter. When I saw the CD's I just had to have them. Would make a great children's Christmas movie!Lire l'avis complet...
