These American girl books are such a nice collection. Beautifully made and hard-bound with gold on the paper makes them very nice. Mine arrived timely and in good condition.

Kit's Story Collection

I love that all the stories are in the same volume and you don't have to switch to a new book each time. I don't like that the Looking Back section is more condensed as this used to be my favorite part of the books as a girl. I love the book mark and nice plastic covering. A great gift book for anyone who grew up reading or is just now starting to read the American Girls. These books are hard to find in bookstores which is why I purchased it on ebay.Lire l'avis complet...

Loved it!!

The only disappointment about this book is that there is not as much of the actual photos/real history in this book as there is when you get each story individually. It still has a small section, though. My daughter (10) LOVED it & she said it is way better than any other American Girl books she has read. I have to agree that it was very exciting & really opens children's minds to what it was like in the depression. My daughter even went so far as to put up signs in our kitchen that said "soup kitchen this way", etc. she was so "into" this book!! We loved it!! :-)Lire l'avis complet...

Kit's Story Collection

This beautiful book was a great buy. I was only disappointed to find that the "Peek into the Past" included in the paperback versions was not included in the Story Collection. This section tells what life was like during The Great Depression in a non-fiction way, helping the reader better understand the circumstances in which Kit lived.Lire l'avis complet...

Cheerful and Uplifting

Great Book about the great depression

Wonderful way of bringing history about the depression alive and interesting to children. I very much recommened this book and other American girl books. Wish they were around when I was young.

Great stories all in one collection! My 7 year old loves this book. Kit is the perfect character for today's times.
