First Edition study guide is a collectors item, but does not help like Edition 4, if one wishes to pass exam.
The book was unmarked. My parole officer thought it was a police car, so she drove slowly. She got on her CB radio and proclaimed The Meaning of Life is 73. Spend the extra money and buy latest edition.Lire l'avis complet...
An out of date manual with old information.
I made the mistake in not knowing anything about this manual and it's publishing date. It was an outdated edition from 2014 which still had some relevancy but still out of date. The seller could not provide me with any specific information about it prior to the sale. Be sure to check the dates on these.Lire l'avis complet...

Getting your license
The Amateur Radio Relay League published the newest revision of this book with new updated material and requirements. It is compiled and written by seasoned "Hams" and is a good reference to start working towards your license. Taking the test can be a stressful event, but learning the basics from this book can be a good confidence builder. Also get a receiver and do a lot of listening. So get started on the great world of Ham radio!Lire l'avis complet...
Very good for the beginner. Extremely detailed info
Book is very long. Has great information for the beginner and is big in detail. Sometimes a little too technical but re-reading will help get through it. Has actual test questions in the back to review and chapters to read if you get the questions wrong. Includes websites to help find local testing sites as well as more information on a specific topic. Overall great for the beginner looking to get into ham radio.Lire l'avis complet...
Great book for starting Amateur Radio,Technician Guide
I bought this book in reference to study for taking my upgrade for my Ham License. I am a novice now and want to upgrade to Technician for more privileges for talking over the air waves. This book should help me remember and re-study what i learned 18 years ago. The book covers what the technician should study to pass the test, but now it is without the Morse code part of the test. So,that's why i purchased the book to loosen up so old memories. Retired now so looking for a extra hobby to go along with my other hobbies.Great book for all who wants a Ham Radio License. Good luck and enjoy.Happy Reading.Lire l'avis complet...
Book.. Need to study - Ham Radio Guide.
Very good condition. Quick return...
Who is the Typical Ham?-
Amateur Radio operators come from all walks of life -- doctors, students, kids, politicians, truck drivers, movie stars, missionaries and even your average neighbor next door. They are of all ages, sexes, income levels and nationalities. Whether through Morse Code on an old brass telegraph key, voice communication on a hand-held radio or computerized messages transmitted via satellite, all hams use radio to reach out to the world.Lire l'avis complet...
Great reference book.
I purchased this book to prep me for the license exam. It is a great reference manual and is very easy to follow. The test questions in the book are a great addition and help in preparing for the test. Be aware that the test questions are changed every three years and are due to change the last quarter of 2009. Would recommend to anyone preparing for their license exam or just trying to learn a little more about ham radio.Lire l'avis complet...
Yup, it is just what it said.
I bought this book as a study guide for the Technician level Amateur Radio Operator exam. The book is everything you need to know for the exam. Passing was easy with just a single read of the text. I didn't feel that the book covered everyday radio operation as much as the ideal situation and theory but I doubt there is a better alternative. Overall a good value for the cost and a must for anyone not in a structured class on the subject.Lire l'avis complet...
