Best blade balancer I have used
Easy to mount, easy to use. I balanced 3 blades on my 0-turn and could easily tell the difference when cutting grass. The mower ran very smooth with no vibration. Also I wanted to see how accurate this tool was, so I taped a small 1/4 inch washer to one end of the blade while on the balancer and it detected the extra weight of the small washer showing that end was off balance.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Blade Balancer
Very good quality product at a reasonable price. I sharpen blades for family and friends and had a cheap cone balancer. Some blades didn't fit the cone to suit me, so it was a little bit of a guessing game as to whether the blade was balanced or not. This blade balancer takes all the guess work out of the equation. Quality not compatible with price, but it does work.
The best I can say is that it works. The lack of precision is a quality issue as well as a pretty serious issue when considering the price. There is in my opinion, excessive slack in the mechanism because the spindle shaft is undersized. The spindle (axle) is also too small in diameter considering what is expected of such an apparatus. Saying all this, I worked 30+ years in industrial maintenance, so I am familiar with standards necessary to make equipment last for many years under demanding conditions.
I took the balancer apart and knurled the shaft in order to eliminate part of the slack that prevented smooth rotation as well as the "ID" (Inside Diameter) of the cone being oversized. Lire l'avis complet...

exactly what I was looking for...
This balancer is exactly what i was looking for. It made a significant change for the better in how my mower runs - so much smoother than before. I do some sharpening for other folks in my neighborhood and am anxiously awaiting feedback from them on their blade performance. Balancing blades
Works well, much better than the cone balancer. Also you can check for bent blades. Surprising how accurate it is. Good addition to blade shaping routine.
