It's a filter
It's a cabin filter, what can you say? I bought an 8 year old Beetle, and figured the cabin filter hasn't been changed in a while. When I took it out, yep, it was suddenly autumn in my car. Lots of leaves, dirt, and debris fell out with the repulsive looking old filter. Popped the new one in with no issues. Outer border very thin very weak hard to install without damaging it
