Teach Yourself Japanese

I've been wanting to study Japanese. So I browsed around for books that are teach yourself. I have used a teach yourself for Korean book. And I thought the method they used was fairly good in teaching the new language. So I thought it would be the same for Japanese. I am a bit disappointed that this book doesn't teach you how to read katakana and hiragana. It mostly uses the romanized version. Also it doesn't seem to contain as many lessons as I would like. It has exercises, and detailed explanations of grammar in each lesson. So certainly this is a good book to build your basics, but if you want to go advanced, other books might come in handy.Lire l'avis complet...
