Works fine but console does not offer TLS access and is not user-friendly.

The router does what it's supposed to do.

The console does not provide the option for HTTPS access.

Ways in which console is not user-friendly:
- No search feature for settings -- The only way to find a non-obvious setting is by guessing and trial and error.
- Devices on the network are represented only by MAC addresses. The device names are not shown, nor is it possible to manually set the names/descriptions so that they can be easily identified in the listings/logs on the console.
- When adding a device to access rules, or mapping it to a reserved IP address, the MAC address needs to be added manually. The currently connected devices are not presented to choose from for these purposes.

Works great even when Connected to USB 2.0 port but fantastic with USB 3.0 ports

I have it connected to USB 2.0 port since computer does not have USB 3.0 ports . Reliably gets between 120Mbps and 150 Mbps performance in this configuration and it outperforms AC1200 A6200 Netgear adapters. Can also be used as an AP connection for other computers. Is well worth the expense.

Recently upgraded a laptop to have a USB 3.0 port instead of just USB 2.0 ports and found the Archer performance increase to 200 Mbps to my ISP. LAN to LAN transfer between AC600 speed are not faster than 200 Mbps for some reason that is router related and not the adapter. The bottom line here is the Archer T2UH performs well connected to a USB 3.0 port.

I will buy additional units soon.

It would be better if it had a dock but plugged into USB hub I can move it to get better coverage.

Bought this for a bridge unit, but it comes with some great features and easy to use

Thought I would try out the TP-link product with a friend network that needed a bridge mode router, the unit looks nice and is very easy to use. I was worried about the speed and range but both are great.Lire l'avis complet...

Run-of-the-mill router

The revision I bought is compatible with OpenWRT and LEDE. I ended up flashing LEDE on it (v2.0 with S/N starting with 215C).

On the negative side, I had to flash DD-WRT first, then an old vendor firmware, then the firmware of my choice. Why create so much trouble for the rightful owner of the device?

Also, major hardware changes between revisions are not helpful. I want to know what I'm buying. How can a review for a device with one chipset be relevant to a device with another chipset? Are we running out of numbers or something?

To be fair, other vendors do it to. TP-LINK is just following the common practice, and missing an opportunity to rise above the crowd.

The range and the speed are pretty good, certainly better compared to other routers I tried.

High Tech

All the instructions are built into its own website when you log in. From that point you can look at the default settings or change them to your liking. I changed them to the same settings as my old rental from the cable company. Not only that I have the 2.4 band I got the 5 band coverage also which has made my smart phone and pad much faster. Just take your time to read instructions before changing I bought mine used but it works perfectly. I feel somebody returned it because they couldn’t set it up properlyLire l'avis complet...

TP-Link Archer C7 - Great for OpenWrt

TP-Link makes great products. Unfortunately they are quick to stop updating the firmware. The Archer C7 is a great value to run OpenWrt given the speed and memory of the hardware.
Recommend that anyone listing a C7 includes the version number (available by the model on the bottom label) which would provide people looking to upgrade with OpenWrt the information necessary to confirm it would work. The reason is not all the versions are tested/or will work with OpenWrt.
OpenWrt requires some knowledge, but it provides great flexibility with the Archer C7 hardware combination, including virtual lan tagging with the LAN ports. Picture of one main router, with a ethernet port dedicated to a guess network, and second as access point to extend guess wifi to another area.

WOW!

I've tried 4 other brands of wireless routers and none of them worked with my m1 nighthawk hotspot. I bought this after finding out it's plug n play compatible with the nighthawk. IT IS! I just followed the how to video video on utube on how to change settings on nighthawk before u connect to this router. Then I plugged a cat 7 ethernet cable into the nighthawk then into the port marked internet and boom! It's working like a charm. Great wireless router!Lire l'avis complet...

I already had the power cable, but that wasn't enough.

I purchased this 'TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750 Wireless 1300Mbps 4-port Gigabit Router NO POWER CABLE' about three months ago, and I finally found time to replace an older model of the same with it, so I did not need the power cable. HOWEVER, only the green power light, of the router's ten (10) indicator lights, remained on past power-up. It performed no initialization. The router that I wanted it to replace worked better. I will try to return this router for a refund of the $23.14 purchase price, if it is not too late.Lire l'avis complet...

Hands down better than D-Link Router

Had this running non stop for the last two weeks, and it has been awesome. Far faster than the D-link that I had, and way more reliable. My d-link, after a week needed a reboot, this one has been flawless. Transfer rates have been awesome, and streaming from my NAS to my PCs wirelessly has been perfectly ideal. No complaints at all.Lire l'avis complet...
