KEEP/STAY ALIVE
NO MATTER WHAT YOU CALL IT, IF RUNNING DCC ESPECALLY WITH SOUND NO MATTER HOW WELL WE KEEP THE TRACKS AND POINTS WE ALL SUFFER THE MOMENTARY BREAK IN POWER AND WITH SOME DECODERS THE TRAIN WILL STOP AND YOU HAVE TO RE-START IT OR IT JUST DOES IT ON ITS OWN.
I DON'T THINK MORE THAN 10 SECONDS WILL EVER BE NECESSARY, SO WETHER KA1 OR KA2 IT KEEPS YOUR LOCOMOTIVE RUNNING WITHOUT INTERUPTION. A GREAT INNOVATION AND ADDITION TO YOUR OPERATION!Lire l'avis complet...

Works as advertised
I saw an article using a larger keep alive but “surgery” was required to fit that one in the tender. When I saw this one was a much smaller keep alive I decided to give it a try. It fit in the Bachmann 2-6-0 small steam engine with its sound value decoder by Soundtraxx without any problem. A call to George at Soundtraxx and he emailed a picture of where on the sound value decoder True that it doesn’t have as much capacitor energy as therefore less run time... about 5-7 seconds roughly but that’s more than enough to get it over long unpowered frogs and most grime on the rails. New KA-2 sure is small.
It’s 1/3 or less the size of the old KA-2. I look forward to finding a project to use it.

TCS best ever
