Best shampoo for dogs with problem skin. THIS WORKS !! Tried many other for my yorkie boy's itching, scratching and flaking, but NOTHING WORKED... untill I found this. It lasts along time, smells great and reasonably priced. I let it sit on him for about 2-4 mins. rinse and its done. Goodbye to his discomfort . I could not be without this shampoo for him. Medicated shampoo for Shadow
This is a wonderful product and he looked the smell real well but not the taste so much... Lol. Here's hard headed but no joke aside, here just stand there while I shampoo and scrub him up real good. I also need hot spots if it's avail? Thank u for a good productLire l'avis complet...

This could keep you out of the vet's office
One of my dogs (55 lb, hound mix, rescue) suffers from time to time with allergic issues which result in hair loss and irritation of skin on her back hindquarters. I purchased this product after reading details to address her skin issues. I began to see results after the second shampooing, She was more comfortable. I spaced shampooing 2-3- days apart. Upon the 3rd shampooing, I could really see improvement. Comfort level, hair regrowth, skin texture improvement. I did a 4th shampooing which was probably an overkill. She's back to normal now and all is well. But will keep this product on hand for any future issues which might necessitate using it once again. I recommend this product. Amazing product, works like a charm!
Originally I've purchased this shampoo for my dog who had the demodex (puppy mange) issue; after just 2-3 washes I've noticed a big difference, and after 6-8 washes the hair grew back and the coat looked healthier than ever before!
This time I've bought it for myself, as I often suffer from itchy scalp and similar issues, possibly also demodex related. After just two washes the itchiness and flakiness went away,and my hair looks simply stunning- bright, shiny and strong. I know it is a "dog shampoo" but none of the ingredients are specifically harmful to humans (in fact, the active ingredients are pretty mild, yet very effective). By the way, this is the highest amount-to-price ratio you will ever get for a medicated hair product of a similar kind- the ones marketed for humans are about ten times as expensive, but are made out of basically the same stuff.
The only drawback of this shampoo is the slightly sulfuric smell. It is not necessarily bad (not like rotten eggs or anything, more like hot springs), but I would recommend to simply rinse out your hair with a different, fragrant shampoo or conditioner of your choice. By the way, you would only need a tiny bit for that, since this shampoo is very effective at removing dirt and grease from your hair. Absolutely love this shampoo!
My dog has been suffering from skin problems for a while now. First she was diagnosed with allergies and then demodectic mange flare up. She was taking oral medications for these problems but she still suffered from dry skin. With just one bath of this stuff, her itching subsided drastically. Her coat became soft and shiny. She received so many compliments on how beautiful her coat was, and she grew her hair back as well. The product does have a little bit of a strong odor because of the sulfur and the coal tar but it is well worth the money. Really Good
I buy this from a big retail store that everyone has heard of and I get it for about the same price on ebay, without the wait in line and gas. Anyway the shampoo is very thick and it will go a very long way. It has a medium stink smell when you first use it to wash your pup but once you wash the shampoo away the smell goes also. I tried a lot of shappos and for some reason nothing seem to work on my jack/chiwawa mixed for what i believe to be hotspots and the other chiwawas had no issues. After using the shampoo twice in one week no more issues. I give them a bath once a week and I use this shampoo each time, unless they get in something and I have to give them another bath in the same week. I did start adding and do add 1/2 teaspoon of tea tree oil to the bottle when I first get them and shack well. This keeps flea and ticks off them. I have been doing this for about a year and have had no issues with hot spots or flea or any kind of dingging like they was doing before. I have found two ticks on one of the dogs but was not in the skin. I do not use any flea or tick meds or anything just the shampoo with the added tea tree oil and my pups are inside outside dogs and I live in the middle of no where. I love this stuff. I am not being paid in anyway to write this. This is my true story.

Effective
This shampoo has made a huge improvement in my doxie mix's coat. The foul smelling waxy flakes are gone, and her bald patches are growing back. She's still itching a bit, with small white 'dandruff', but now I'm down to bathing her once a week and expect it to continue improving. The shampoo goes on easily and lathers right up. Two palm-fulls give her a really good coating, which I leave on at least 15 minutes. It rinses off easily and doesn't smell too medicinal - certainly WAY better than that seborrhea smell! BUY IT!!! GREAT STUFF!!!
My 14 year old Chihuahua had weeks of horrible itching and scratching. He had terrible hard scales peeling off of his back that started in small patches and then spread to most of his back. Some of the spots started to bleed. I could not afford hundreds of dollars the vet wanted just for lab tests alone. I kept special Vasaline on him and that helped some. My wife wanted my little faithful pal put down but I couldn't do it. I researched this medicine and after one treatment for 15 minutes he had INSTANT relief from scratching! On the third day I did the second treatment and he was already healing and the scaly crap was washing off. I am now on the sixth day and fourth treatment and he is totally healed and it looks like his hair is growing back. THANK GOD! My little pal stays wrapped up in warm towels after he is soaked down with about 3 spoons worth and warm water. It goes a LONG way!! After 15 minutes I rinse him off very good.
