A total let-down. :(

I bought this game for my husband for his birthday since he's a big Mario fan. We had heard so much about it from the Nintendo Channel on his Wii, so I figured it would be a nice edition to his collection. It was actually a let down. The games are the EXACT same as they were on the older Nintendo, just tweeked slightly for the Wii. As for the music disc...most of the tracks are the coin sounds, mushroom sounds, block sounds, very short tracks. Also, the booklet was a disappointment too. It was advertised as being a collaboration of all the Mario Games booklets, but it just briefly skims over the basics.
Overall, if I had known what I know now about this game, I most likely would not have bought it, for the simple fact that it's nothing new. Nintendo made such a huge hype about it, but, as a customer, I do feel like I wasted my money and they could have done a LOT better job. About the only thing going for this game, is that I'm pretty sure it will not be sold in stores again, which makes it a collector's item. The only way I would recommend this product to someone, is if that person had never played any of the original Mario games. Other than that, waste of money.Lire l'avis complet...

Going to be worth BIG $$$$$$$$

Let me start by saying I LOVE SUPER MARIO, greatest game, story and characters ALL-TIME, single handedly made the video industry what it is today. Now this package is not the best, the game itself is a straight port of the orginal super mario all-stars. Pretty disappointed that they didn't even add the super mario world (which i do own), but regardless it still is a good game. Anytime you can get your hands and the first 4 Super MArio brothers game, it is a hit. The quality of the box is outstanding. I have not opened mine, and I won't, I will keep it sealed and enjoy these same games on ym super nintendo. THis WILL be worth big money in years to come, due to the fact it is a landmark release and anytime you get one of those (also a limited release) they end up bringing back way more than you spent.Lire l'avis complet...

Absolutely fantastic!

The game plays as expected tho the packaging was in a bit of rough shape which was fine for the price no regrets with this purchase!

Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Wii 2010

I finally won this Wii game after 13 intense days of bidding and bidding and finally won it :) NO~ I didn't pay arm & leg...Just my hubby's toes heh heh heh...I love these gameson this.I was goin gto buy them through the Nintendo channel in my Wii,but it wouldn't be the same as owning actual game disc.This way-I won't lose these games if my Wii dies,or trade in or whatever.
These games are just like original versions but look much better quality than way way way back,when thy all 1st came out. If you go to your Wii video channel-search for Alison and gary's secret hints to this game! They gave many,manyMANY away.You'll find these clues in short videos,and in thier show Alison/Gary do weekly.Some will be mentioned in title,some are not.There is even a video Alison/Gary did interviewing the ACTUAL voices of Mario & Wario,and others-the man who has been doing many voices for this series,and some other games as well-is really a quite interresting fella'...This game case,is nice,like the way it opens up,like a book flap.There is a cd inside as well,I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet-but I have heard great reviews about the original songs on there.Also,there is a booklet,explaining Mario series history-nope,I haven't read it yey.I did glance through quickly,and it definately adds to the game values,as a memory memnto :)
.If this is your 1st time playing this series-welcome to the Mario clan,and enjoy your games :)You will NOT be bored with these games,and don't forget,Mario has many other games now a days as well since these games on several game systems--Wii Mario games are great to interact with:)Lire l'avis complet...

Super Mario All-Star Limited Edition: Worth the money?

I bought the game because I grew up playing Super Mario on my N64 and being able to play 4 of the old school games on my wii was such a sweet deal. If you grew up with Super Mario then you know exactly what you're going to get and how much fun it's going to be. This comes with a collection of 4 NES-based Mario games. Super Mario Bros 1,2 & 3 and the addition of "The Lost Levels," which was originally from Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan. (Super Mario Bros 2 in the United States was actually a game called Doki Doki Panic with Mario characters used in place of the original heroes.) Games come in SNES form and with revamped character designs and increased level details. A soundtrack and booklet tracing the history of the Mario franchise are also included. The game play is pretty awesome and just what you would expect if you were 6 years old in the 80's or 90's kicking the Goomba's butt! If you're a true Mario fan then you will love the game and it is definitely worth the money.Lire l'avis complet...

BEWARE of Standard Edition being sold as "Limited Edition"

This is a great game. It includes Mario 1 through 3, and the Lost Levels.
The regular edition averages right now, in 2017 at $16, and that's cheaper than the original. I would recommend using an emulator over this, but it's a great third option.
But beware.
The Limited Edition includes limited edition content. New, it comes with a packaged cover sleeve, a small art book, and a CD soundtrack. If you received just the game, you were scammed, or you bought from someone who isn't a gamer and made a mistake in their listing.Lire l'avis complet...

Love this game

Faithful reproduction of the SNES version

only complaint would be that the Wii remote is not nearly as comfortable as the SNES controller

Awesome! Although, not what I expected.

I bought this product remembering the old days when I played Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES. It brought sweet memories and great times. I thought that with this new Wii version, I was going to get better graphics, sounds, etc. than the SNES version. Unfortunately, what you get is the EXACT same version as the SNES. Same graphics, same sounds, same gameplay. The guys in Nintendo just did a copy and paste of the SNES version and put it in a Wii disc. Still, it's kind of nice to be playing this game again, especially on the Wii. Although I have to ask myself, why couldn't they just sell the game on the Wii shop channel?
