Overall a great, creative problem solving game!

We purchased this game for our 6 year+8 months old, tech-savvy son, in first grade, who struggles with spelling. I was concerned it would be above his ability level, but he took to it immediately. We looked at other DS spelling games, but this one with it's interactive, creative problem-solving aspect, is never the same game twice. It does not get boring for him. In order to solve problems, he has to type in words and I make him practice sounding things out phonetically. While I can't definitively say this is the reason for his improvement, I can say that he has gone from C's, D's and F's to A's, B's and C's. He now recognizes more words, remembers how to spell them, and uses words from his spelling lists when playing the game. I think it has also helped his reading skills.Lire l'avis complet...

Super Scribblenauts is one super original spelling puzzle game.

Super Scribblenauts gives your more of everything the first Scribblenauts gave you. It has even more words as well as adjectives. Spell words and the objects appear.

Pros: Awesomely original game with nothing else like it on any system! The puzzles can be solved in numerous of different ways. You can create items and vehicles for Max to pilot (Max is the main protagonist of the game).

Cons: The character controls are pretty bad. It is possible to send Max to his doom with one tap of the stylist. The game knows many different words and adjectives but still doesn't know as many as you'd like, this leads to some frustration with some of the puzzles.

Conclusion: this game is pretty awesome. It is definitely worth adding to your DS collection. However, keep in mind that you know more words than it does :)Lire l'avis complet...

Super Scribblenauts Worth my Pre-order!!

When I first heard of the first game of this called scribblenuats I got it for christmas and loved it there where a few flaws but overall it was good. When I heard there was going to be a sequel I got very excited and reasurched everything I could on the game. It turned out in this game you are allowed to use adjectives(words that modify nouns) in the first game you could not do that also I found out you could stack adjectives together so you could have a flying, poka-dot, frozen, cloned, sparkling, green, pregnant, fat, fiery, cow. You can do just about anything with this game as long as the words are not vulgar copyrighted or left out due to ESRP restrictions, Wich is why this game is only rated E10+. I decided I was going to pre-order this game so I could get it the day it comes out October 12 2010. I ended up pre-ordering it from a very excellent seller. If you want game to keep the kids busy on your drive to vegas but also learn without knowing it...this is the game for you.

Super Scribblenauts - An Excellent Value

Admittedly, I haven't yet played the original Scribblenauts, but I'm so glad that I decided to give the sequel, Super Scribblenauts a try. This game offers 120 different levels and a level editor as well, providing an almost unlimited amount of replay value. With multiple answers to successfully complete each area, your imagination ignites the possibilities in this phenomenal game! Bottom line: A great value.

This game is for a Christmas gift for my 9 yr. old grandson so I haven't been able to preview it yet but I'm sure he will be thrilled. I bought the regular Scribblenauts for his birthday and also one for my younger grandson, age 7. This product came new and in wrapping. LOVE IT! This game really sparks my son's creativity. I got it for him as a reward for good schoolwork because I didn't want to get another mindless game that didn't teach him anything. I have been wanting this game for a long time just out of curiosity. When i received it, i didn't think i would like it this much. it encourages family game time by brainstorming ideas and uses your logic to solve the puzzles.
