Better than expected
I expected this to be a flimsy piece of rubber that fits in the center console. It's has rubber but plastic backing that makes it stronger and locks into slots inside the center console. I like the small slit in the back of the item that allows for you to run you aux cable through it. Also allows for other cables to run through the openings on the console. I am very pleased with this item. I bought my Crosstrek used, so I don't know if it ever had this or the previous owner took it out. But I am glad I have it now. I plan on owning my Crosstrek for a very long time and this tray will get a lot of use for many years to come.Lire l'avis complet

Kinda Gets in the Way
Not sure why Subaru made this tray without some kind of handle or mechanism to quickly remove it and access items below. I got it because when I bought my car used, it was missing. I wanted to feel like my car was "complete" with every possible upgrade and accessory. But this, at least so far, is one I probably could've done without. Still getting used to it. One advantage is having change set up high for easy access but out of sight too. Otherwise it's not easy to maneuver around if you're driving and only have one free hand.Lire l'avis complet

Works very well as designed, in a poor solution
I traded a Mazda3 (Ford Focus) for my CrossTrek (Impreza with more clearance). I vastly prefer the CrossTrek over the Mazda3 overall.
The Mazda had a functional dual level console where the Subaru has a tray. The dual level console is a far better solution than the tray.
With the Mazda I could choose which level to open, and it was that simple. With the Subaru I have to remove the tray to get under it, and balance the tray in one hand or find a place to set the tray for a moment while I rummage around in the console well.
With the Mazda I simply closed the console at either level. With the Subaru I have to re-insert the tray, and then make sure the tray is properly seated in its place - EVERY TIME.
The tray fits very well and seems very sturdily seated in its place. Its just an inferior solution.Lire l'avis complet

I can put it in and put my phone on it and charge it hidden from the seen. It is good quality but a bit expensive
