Personable - Overall Good Novel

Jane Green has some fantastic novels and Straight Talking was pretty well written, especially since it is Green's first novel. What I liked about most was the fact that she made this novel so personable. Tasha (the heroine) pretty much told us the story by bringing the reader in as if she were talking to us. It gives the readers a chance to kind of be a part of the story and go along through the journey with her. I also liked how a lot of woman can relate to the story; even if we didn't like all the decisions she made. The part of the book that I didnt like was the fact that the ending was so rushed. I would have liked to find out what happened with Tasha and Adam but we were left to wonder. All in all, it is a good book and any fans of Jane Green should read it.Lire l'avis complet...

Does Passion Trump Comfort?

Follow Tasha as she struggles with her inner demons. Due to her upbringing, she is drawn to the wrong sort of man: the man who will use and abuse her and give her a cheap thrill and ensuing torture.r>
Tasha has the potential Right One under her nose, but will she get her head out of the sand in enough time?

Sometimes you want to shake Tasha; other times, you wish you were her! So many men, so many hot stories, she has confidence and men are drawn to her. But the wrong kind of man.

This book has three subcharacters: Andy, Emma, and Mel. Mel's storyline is the most developed; Emma's the least. I wish Ms. Green had focused solely on Tasha or maybe just have given her Mel as a friend. They are all in different circumstances, different stages in relationships, so I see the juxtaposition she wanted to take, but they were kind of a tease.

I do recommend this if you love chick lit and love Jane Green like me!Lire l'avis complet...
