It is a movie that I saw when I was in seventh grade. I remember everyone telling me how scary it was, even my much older cousin told me that this was scary. When I watched it, I didn't see what everyone thought was so scary. This isn't a bad movie though. I would never have known it was made for TV, that's how good of a job the filmmakers did with this movie. I'm guessing that if you have a fear of clowns(believe me, that's nothing to be ashamed of) then this movie is probably one of the scariest movies you'll ever see. This is one of the few King movies that kids can see, it isn't as shocking as The Shining, or as disturbing as Pet Sematary. There is some killing, but the violence isn't shown. There is some blood, but it isn't anything real disgusting.

The acting is pretty good, with an exceptional performance from Tim Curry as the famous clown known as Pennywise. The effects are kind of cheap, but for a TV movie made in the early '90's, they are actually not that bad. The scares aren't anything spectacular, but there are some very suspenseful scenes. The only problem I have with this movie is the last fifteen minutes, those moments are pretty lame. Otherwise, this is a good, and very unique film that is worth watching.Lire l'avis complet...

This movie is a classic ! Tim curry is amazing and good old Jonathan brandis is delightful as usual . A must see oldie but goodie . If yo bread the book it’s great 👍🏻. This movie is better than the remake. Plays perfect in orginal case.

I lent my first copy out, never got it back so this movie is a replacement and a good one at that.Comes with the orginal case and artwork plus it's on a single dvd( takes up less space).Nothing bad about this DVD at all.Lire l'avis complet...

Classic IT so much truer to the novel

Really like this mini-series event. The dvd contains entire movie. Brings back great memories for a ling time King fan. Still my fav book by him.

You may like it, but I did not. IT made me fall asleep!

The copy I saw for the very first time began w/2 men meeting after a long time w/no real reason explained. There were no real scares, the clown's lines were stupid and frankly, I'm surprised it became so popular.
If a movie is omg boring, I will fall asleep EVERY time, and I did that about 3-4 times watching this movie. I hate to say the remake was much better!Lire l'avis complet...

Horrifying as I Remembered

The remake sheds no shade on this now "classic". Lots of old school recognizable actors and Tim Curry's over the top rendering of the It is entertaining and horrifying. A win as much as the remake!

Tim Curry is awesome and creepy. The others, some of whom are notables, were instructed to act is the cheesiest and most melodramatic way possible. Fun to watch. I guess I get why they made a new one this time, though. I doubt the new Pennywise is as creep-o as the original though.Lire l'avis complet...

Classic it.

This is a well made movie with great actors and story. For a made for tv movie it is great.
