If you do not own this cd, you should. It is one of the very best written, played, sung and performed work of art you will find. The composer is Jude Cole, a consummate song writer, singer, guitarist and artist of the century. Unfortunately, his name does not get the recognition that it should. This cd is right at the top of my essential list, were I trapped on deserted island! Jude Cole

This LP is a great set. Every track has merit and carries its own weight. I would recommend it to anyone that likes older rock. Its labeled POP but it more on the Rock side to me.

Little-known "bard" of the 90's

This is a great album! His best, in my opinion! The title track sets the pace for the gritty, poetic rock artist! So glad to have this CD in my collection!

Very polished production, some songs 'springsteenesque'

This was my 4th purchase of this CD -- I lent the others to friends and never got them back!

I don't think it's a coincidence -- all my friends can't be cleptos!

Nice mix of songs, they all sound great -- and make you think about life.

Still my favorite CD to drive to, veg out with, play in the background while I work, etc.

I flew from Chicago to Paris to Nairobi, and back to Paris to Chicago with only 1 CD... Jude Cole "Start the Car."

Must Have CD

I don't know how Jude Cole didn't become a huge star. This is an exceptional recording. His voice reminds me a little of Bryan Adams, but the songs are much better. i could listen to this over and over. The song " Worlds apart " is an all time classic. Jude Cole

Jude Cole must have screwed up somwhere...he should have been a GIANT star. His lyrics and music are so real, they remind me of a real storyteller. The acoustical arrangements are very soothing.
