PLEASE RELEASE “SPLIT SECOND 2”!!!

This game is one of the funnest, challenging and visually spectacular racing games I’ve ever played! As a 52 year old gamer, let me just say, I’ve played almost ALL of them too!
Seriously, it’s one of the reasons why I purchased the xBox One X because I missed this game so much after going from xBox 360 to PS4 several years ago this game is backwards compatible on the xBox... and NOT PS4!
Visually breathtaking and stunning, while the game does get repetitive, it never gets old blowing up mountain sides, giant towers and buildings to collapse on your opposition! NEVER!
My only complaint is WHY DID THEY CANCEL THE NEXT “SEASON” or part 2 of this game!?
The following, and demand for the next addition to this game, is so big it seems very odd that they haven’t brought it back to the drawing table!

Destructive mayhem, addictive!! Excellent replay value, excellent handling drifter car game

This game is beyond excellent! I lost my older copy and bought this to replace it; high replay value! Destroy rivals via setting Power Plays/traps on the track, awesome drifter car game w/out the awful handling/steering that many other racing games (such as the Need for Speed series) suffer from. Made by Disney~! But explosive, destructive mayhem that just has fantastic- and fast!- playability
Addictive!

Split Second Xbox 360 great fun, but not to serious.

Once you get past all the hype and the continuing argument I see all across the web about this game or that game not being 'sim like' or 'semi-sim like',and if you like arcade games like Need For Speed, Burnout. Your going to like Split Second for what it is, not what it isn't. It's just some down right fun racing and blowing stuff up with great detail!

Not going to get into the complete details of this game as it's been out for awhile and if you are reading this I am more than sure you know the sorted details of gameplay.

I got this at a great price used and am very happy with what it is.
Split Second never takes itself too serious, it's all about blasting down the road and blasting your opponents.

I have to agree with others about the AI vehicles speeding past you using the same car as you have while you struggle just to keep up much less overtake them.
I suppose it goes back to the days of Eugene Jarvis' philosophy.
Make the player angry and fustrated enough to want to come back for revenge.

The vehicles have some slight diversity but not in the way of other racing games. Most have very slight physic differences while some are very notably different. Usaually between car & truck is most noticed.

Slight downsides I found dissapointing is the engine sounds. They got all the explosions, blasts, diesel truck sounds down but I like a game that has more ear blistering engine tones in it. Engines here are more subtle than blasting and not much diversity between them.

Also what really puzzled me the most about this game was the fact that the premise is you are a contestant on a TV show and cameras are setup to capture every move on the circuits only to have a quick few second replay for major destructive 'power plays' that if your lucky actually show your opponents getting demolished besides the structure coming down.

GRID, Dirt, Dirt2, PGR series and just about every race game I ever played gives you a complete lap by lap replay of your run with options to rewind, fast forward, speed up/down, pause, advance, multiple camera angles.
So what happened with Split Second? It's a TV show with mutliple cameras yet I cannot watch an entire replay of a finished race all the while watching my opponents being crushed, wrecked, slammed, blown-up with multiple camera angle choices. That is my biggest beef with this game. The rather lacking engine tones I can live with seeing as there is so much more going on in the way of explosions. But the lack of replay was a big dissapointment.

Other than that its a great game to throw in and blow stuff up and have a few laughs as you watch the AI being destroyed or yourself for that matter.

If you like lite non-serious racers as an alternative this is a great choice.
Not sure about it's staying power or longevity, after the initial tour I think it would become a 'go to' game when your burned out on everything else you have.
Enjoy it if you decide to get it!

One of the best racers in a long time!

The last racing game that I really enjoyed was Need For Speed Underground. I've played all the other need for speeds including the new hot pursuit, and with the exception of Most Wanted, haven't really been impressed. I've played Juiced, Blur, Forza, Gran Turismo and almost every other racing game out there right now and got pretty bored fairly quick. So I was a little skeptical when I heard about this game. I downloaded the demo off Live Marketplace though, and I gotta say...I was instantly hooked. This game will keep you on the edge of your seat through almost every race. If any racing game has ever deserved an "OH SH*T!!" handle just for when you're playing it, its this game. Barely avoiding that building that just exploded in front of you and is crumbling to the ground around you as youre trying to speed under it is a very exhilirating experience and this game re-creates that feeling more than a few times in each race. The visuals are absolutely stunning. The level design is amazing and the ability to change the level as youre racing is just awesome. The difficulty does ratchet up pretty high as you get further in the game, but that just adds to the intensity in my opinion and makes that victory feel that much more deserving. Dont let the Disney logo fool you, this game rocks. If youre a fan of the Burnout series but are feeling a little "Burnt Out" from it, pick this game up...you will not be dissapointed. 9/10Lire l'avis complet...

lots of levels, cool graphics. The higher level cars though become very difficult to control for kids. Lots of crashing & crying. Use the lower level

A hidden gem for arcade driving gamers.

Extensive progression system, detailed graphics, great for solo not-online play, Disney production, just came out at the same time as other major titles and got overlooked... A hidden gem.
