This particular film is the 1996 issue in a NTSC VHS format. "Splash" is probably Daryl Hannah's best film. It's sometimes thought provoking and sometimes mindless entertainment - all at the same time. Outstanding classic story in a VHS format. It will be a film you'll remember and almost everyone can get something out of it. It's rare that a mermaid movie hits the big screen with an all star cast - even though at the time it was made, the stars were not as well known as today. i bought this as a gift for my daughter who loves it.

My daughter has always been enamoured wiht the idea of mermaids since she was very small. She has watched the Little Mermaid a zillion times. And secretly believes that they truly do exist. At 27 years of age, I just smile and go along with her, indulging her with jewelry, books, movies that relate to mermaids, as long as there are not spiritistic overtones. When she opened the box and saw this movie she screamed. She had only seen it once in her life when she was in elementary school. Needless to say, it's being played, rewound and played to the point that I'm thinking of returning it. (Smile) Thank you for this item. Splash is a real Splash with our Mermaid

I bought this old movie Splash because our tween granddaughter had never seen it. She loves swimming so much we call her our little mermaid and I thought she would love this movie. Good entertainment movie

I liked this movie. Not because of its storyline but because of those tiny little human shortcomings it reveals at every scene. Very inspiring...

A classic movie. Brings back childhood memories. Daryl Hannah and Tom Hanks are great in this film. Five stars all the way.

I watched this a long time ago and enjoyed it then. I love any movie that Tom Hanks is in. He is an excellent actor and producer.
