Released in 1990.
This is one of my favorite metal album.
Much more "evolved" than the albums before it but not quite as refined than the albums after it.
Great riffs, great drumming.
Chuck rules on this one.
If you want a perfect overall album with INTELLIGENT lyrics this one is for you.
It's getting rarer so get it while you can.
Check out this site about Death and Control denied (chuck doesnt sing in this band but plays guitar, shortly before he died)

It always seems to me that I am the only guy in this world who thinks this 1990 masterpiece from the legendary Florida based death metal originator is the best album they have ever put out. For some reason, since the day I have heard this album, it has always been very special for me. From the production, to the vocal performence, to the amazing songwriting, this is absolutely perfect. There's no doubt that Death has put out some more complex stuff afterwards, but complex isn't always better. The best death metal album of all times. Easily
Some would say "Reign In Blood" but i don't consider that death metal.
Rest in peace Chuck, you were THE pioneer.
This album was the peak of their sound, the perfect balance of the heavy from the beginning, and the intricacies of their later stuff.
