Hi, when installing amp that's rated at 300 watts or less, this is the perfect wiring kit to purchase. The price on this is great. This is a 8 gauge, like I said, it's perfect for installing an amplifier 300 watts or less. You don't need to install 4 gauge wires for this type of project, 8 gauge works great. I have purchased three Rockford Fosgate amplifiers that are rated at right around 300 watts ( before Rockford Fosgate ships them out to you, they actually test the wattage and give you a certificate showing exactly the true wattage, so each amplifier rates a little different from the other ones.) So like I said, why waste money on something bigger when you do not need it? You will be happy with a Amp Install kit, like this one. This kit does the job.

This kit is a good value for the money. One thing I recommend. For systems 500-1000rms buy the 4 gauge kit or next size up because stripping the wire is difficult to do without losing strands of wire resulting in Insufficient power for your subwoofers. I wired two Rockford p2 10inch 250 rms subs to my 500 rms amp with this 8 gauge kit and it powers them just fine. I have a kicker subwoofer wiring kit that is greater quality but for the money this is a exceptional kit. Just be careful when stripping the wires I recommend using a lighter and burning off the tip if the insulation and pulling it off with your fingers so you don’t accidentally cut or rip strands of your power wire! Also beware the “16 gauge” speaker wire they claim to put in these 8 gauge kits are not 16 they are 18 I’m going to have to buy thicker wire to power my amp that is the reason for 4/5 stars otherwise a good kitLire l'avis complet...

It works, but the quality leaves you wondering??

This is the first time I order a "install kit" online. In this case, it was very true that you get what you pay for. The quality of the power and ground cable are the worst I've encountered in 20 years of doing installs. Had I known, I would have went with the usual brands I know and trust.

Some of the problems I encountered were: When I removed a section of casing from the power cable, the copper wiring inside fell apart like angel hair. It took 3 attempts to realize it wasn't going to get any better. I ended up soldering the copper strands together in order to have something solid to screw the amp terminal to. It left me wondering how safe this cable actually is?? I've heard of vehicles catching fire because of faulty or poor quality wiring. So far there have been no performance issues and I'm monitoring the wiring for heat or damage but everything is checking out OK.

I would not purchase again, nor would I recommend it to a friend.Lire l'avis complet...

The power and ground cable is not actually 8 Gauge.

The power and ground cable is not actually 8 Gauge; they are more like 12 Gauge copper, and the sleeve they sent with the kit doesn't even fit more than the Power cable. Very bad kit.

Used on a 1200watt Boss Amp

I used it on a dodge Dakota with a 1200watt Boss amp. It powers it perfect with no issues at all. The wires are good quality for the price and have no distortion. I would buy another kit if I had another install to do. This kit is good stuff.Lire l'avis complet...

I've never had a kit come in a zip lock baggy, besides that it was OK, I hate round amps I like flat my fault.

Does the job just fine for the money. Sure, the lugs could be a little better quality, but they work just fine if you take your time and are careful. One can't really complain about any of the parts in this kit for the money paid for it.Lire l'avis complet...

This little amp kit has all the accessories you need to install an amp. The rca jacks have ample length no matter how far your amp is from your head unit. Thanks.
