Very decent travel lens and great quality build. Sony SEL24-70Z

It’s rather expensive when new but a well cared used examples are some of the best all around lens bargain I think, for these FE 24-70 Z lenses. It’s native to Sony’s A7 series, and does a great job at being a lightweight companion along a travel outing and general use camera lens. Built solid with metal barrels and precise fit mechanism.

Images are as sharp as it needs to be for all but most strict of pixel pet peeved analysts. It’s quite good with vibrant colors and accurate focus too. Not a lot of CA nor Distortions at all and flare control is superb on such vast zoom type lens. Fixed F4 offers great control rather than a typical 3.5-5.6 variable to this type of lens and works well wide open too. It’s tiny compared to an F2.8 zoom of this range but does 99% of what the 2.8’s do for half the weight and size.

Perfect and better!

Camera lenses aren’t known for being durable, which is why I bought this one. It’s easy to use, great focus, and a good lens for someone who is still learning their way around.

Excellent quality

The difference between the Zeiss lens and the kit lens I have, is night and day. The clarity of focus and depth of field is amazing. I'm only sorry that I didn't buy it sooner. Great lens. I hope they come out with one that goes to 105 mm. I can at least hope!Lire l'avis complet...

Best All Around Zoom for Sony Full Frame

Although the Sony 28-70mm kit lens is really not all that bad of a lens, I was quite happy with it, Except it lacked that little bit at the wide angle end. Images are what you would expect from Zeiss. A little pricey but shop carefully and you can do okay. With thd 24mm end, you can "get away" with not having to purchase another wide angle such as the 16-35mm for me. I STILL plan on getting it, I just don't need it as fast with this baby! Latest version of this lens..Excellent !!

I bought this lens with a lot of research and read many reviews. In my opinion, this lens delivers. I've read that earlier production of this lens were inferior, but the copy I just got 8/2015 is great! Yes it has distortion on the wider end, but so what,.almost all lens do. chromatic abberations, yes, no problem in post work, which almost everyone will do today. I can say it is sharp and will deliver in most situation. It's a good travel lens and that is what I got it for, since there isn't enough lens like this in the Sony FE-mount lineup. I look forward to the 24-70 f2.8 in E-mount. I think that lens will be stellar. The 24-70 f2.8 in A-mount is excellent but just too big and heavy. so are the other manufacturers like lenses. This lens is beautiful and buttery smooth focus ring. It's expensive, but have no choice at present till the price is reduced, but it still delivers great, excellent photo's!Lire l'avis complet...

Great product at a great price.

This is an excellent lens for video filming. You can get close-ups as well as wider shots and they are all in perfect sharpness thanks to the Sony auto-focus. The Zeiss optics are crisp and flawless and provide a great medium range image in harmony with the low-light characteristics in the A7S2. Sony zoom FE 24-70mm F4

Excellent lens except for 24mm, which is softer than other lengths. Used with A6000 it is terrific with better color, sharpness and the added 1.5 focal length than the kit lens.

For photos excellent for video I preffer MFT.

Only f4 and sadly f2.8 is without OSS. I ve upgrade this from 2005 Sigma 24-70/ 2.8 and shot quality improvement was huge (much more contrast and punch) but night performance was on my old A7II camera unfortunately and not in surprise worse (but it can be fine - in many cases - on A7III)..Lire l'avis complet...

Not fast enough.

Even with IS this lens is not quick enough. A good street lens for sunny days, but not real useful after dusk. For the money I expect more. Unfortunately, Sony can't seem to master a fast variable focus lens. While their bodies are affordable the lenses are over priced.
