Good buy for the price

If you've never used an A/V reciever be prepared for lots of reading and playing around. The Sony STR-DG710 is a fairly complicated component. I've had a few Audio/Video Recievers in my life and hands down this one was a little mystifying to set up. When you start monkeying around with the HDMI and the audio set ups for them they don't exactly greet you with a friendly smile. After a few hours of reading and playing around with literally dozens of audio possiblities the sound and video of the Sony AV reciever was pretty good.

Bottom line is for the money it was a good buy. Just be prepared to do some hard core reading and playing around with mutiple settings.

The receiver looks very nice it delivers what is promised. Sounds great. There are three hdmi inputs and one output to the TV.The sound quality is very good. Good for a small room. It was a gift for my daughter's birthday. She is very happy with it.

I only thing that I like about it, that it works.
There are some feature of this product that are not easy to get to. (Not as simple as pushing 1 button on the remote or on the Receiver.) That is only thing that I don't like about it.

This is a great basic reciever. Very easy to set up. We did has some problems with the with the HDMI Pass through which would not support a 1080 signal, but otherwise this ius a great reciever for the priceLire l'avis complet...

What audio??

I hooked up the HDMI cabk I get video but no audio.i totally wasted my money on this item. when i finally hooked it up correctly. the picture and audio lasted about 2 seconds and shut off. no picture, no audio just a big black paperwieght that doesnt work i bought it because i bought a blu ray player. the dvd is hooked up but doesnt work through the HDMI connection. im angryLire l'avis complet...

One of the best for your money

I use this to demo Klipsch speakers I sell. It is a super good tuner for the money. You really have to read the manual to take advantage of all the features. A little hard to navigate the menu and set up, but after you master that, this thing kicks!Lire l'avis complet...
