Solid VCR / DVD combo as you would expect from Sony

This is a well made combo player unlike many combo players out there that are unreliable. The Sony brand carries a certain expectation for quality and this device lives up to that well. I do dislike the fact that you cannot record a VHS tape from the DVD, but this is to be expected especially from a company such as Sony which wants to protect it's copyrighted works. The remote control was easy enough to use and not too big. I also really liked the glowing blue progressive button, which other players don't indicate on the front, forcing one to check to see if it's on. The menu layout is very simple to understand and navigate and setting it up doesn't require a college degree. Overall one of the best DVD / VCR combos I've seen.Lire l'avis complet...

Not sure!

Well I purchased this VHS/DVD player for a friend. And as of right now I was told the DVD plays fine, but that's not the case with the VHS. When they put a VHS movie in the player, the player shoots it right back out. So they want to use a VHS cleaning tape to clean the heads to see if that fixes it, before they want me to send it back. Look before you jump

this item is designed like the were in the 80's but this one does not work like it was designed to. the dvd side will not play my sore bought dvds. only my music one and at that you when you mess with the remote you have to do this for a long time and you may get results and then you go to try to get what you want by going to the machine to work it by hand it still does works. I'm of the age even doing the 8 track. and in my house I have 3 surround sound systems in my house so I know how the are surpose to work. Good product. Have to be careful and scrutinize the counter when rewinding and fast forwarding, because it moves fast. Hitting the right mark on the counter track can be a little tricky, but it is manageable. It showed up packaged very well with absolutely no dents, tears or signs of damage to the packaging during shipping. When I got it out of the two boxes and bubble wrap it was shipped in the machine made a loud rattling sound. Something that isn't made anymore...

VHS players aren't made anymore, so getting one for watching those old movie formats can be a challenge, but this one arrived in like-new condition and it plays the old VHS tapes and the later DVDs very well. What more could you ask for?!Lire l'avis complet...
