PTZ control plus MANY other features

Although this was a pretty expensive P/T/Z control, the capabilities or the remote has made the Sony RM-BR300 worthwhile investment for controlling Sony EVI series cameras using the VISCA protocol.>
I purchased the Sony RM-BR300 remote control for the purpose of controlling several Sony EVI-D70 cameras in a multi-camera environment for video re-enforcement of worship services. The proportional joystick control of pan/tilt/zoom is smooth and responsive, with 17 steps of pan speed and 18 steps of tilt. Proportional zooming is very good with a twist of the joystick. The EVI-D70 cameras have the ability to store 6 position presets which the RM-BR300 can instantly recall (which also recall positions of the zoom, focus, color balance, etc.). Following a moving target at extreme close-up is not really practical (1 degree/second), even at the slowest pan/tilt speed, but is fine at medium or long shots.

One of the best features is the ability to remote control the color balance to match all the cameras’ color (SO important in multi-camera environments). The RS-422 communication breaks the 50' limitation of RS-232 so I can remote control all of the cameras positions and all of their setup features hundreds of feet away.

I could not find any documentation for what remote control's presets 7 through 16 were for, but found through experimentation the following: 7-Brightness control to automatic, 8-Brightness control override, 9 and 10- setting of pan direction right-to-left or left-to-right, 11-White balance to Automatic, 12-White balance to manual, 13-?, 14-Automatic Tracing White balance (ATW), 15-ICR cut, 16-ICR on.Lire l'avis complet...

If you're using a VISCA camera, this is the way to go. I'm using RS422.
